130 to 131 WD is 0.65% damage
and 15INT is like 0.64% damage assuming you have 2320 before the change.

While going from 1502DH to 1683DH is 1.08% damage.

Don't be a chucklefuck. DH is indeed the best secondary stat, but there's a fine line between being the best secondary stat and going so hard on the paint that diminishing returns start becoming relevant.

After multiple wipes, i've cleared up to floor 40 of potd, but I keep getting healers that separate from the group to reach the exit independently of everyone, and DPS that charge head-first into pulling targets or even groups without a goddamn care in the world. Had to waste a phoenix down on our pugilist in the succeeding run because the healer was just running around with their head up their ass. The life of a paladin truly is suffering.

Which au ra tail is the best? I enjoy the basic one quite a bit, but the oddly shaped fat one has an alure to it that makes it kinda cool.

Outside of that anyone know if SE is going to like redo the animations? I'd love a complete overhaul fo the races we have right now to unify idle animations and all that stuff including gender barriers being removed for some weapon poses. It'd increase variety but also be a bit lengthy to create.

if you are female never go croc tail, it defeats the purpose of playing female au ra. why do i say this? think about it you are playing a dainty female whos about 90-100lbs that tail easilt weighs 15-20lbs easily it would throw you off balance having it. this is not including the thin base of it supporting all of that weight. it throws their whole model offbalance.

Honestly like, I think Cirina does "Female Au Ra" alongside Yugiri. Yugiri arguably the best because she's an actual fighter and stuff, but Cirina really fit her place. Sadu felt out of place quite a bit nonetheless I enjoyed her company.

Balmung was already populated due to being a legacy server, on top of the unofficial roleplay server. Then it kept growing just because it was the most popular server in the game.

If they let DFD or Elusive Jump grant an eye and let the eyes stay despite BoTD falling off a lot of the long wind up wouldnt be as bad.

But since they made Jumps and integral part of the rotation to do your main mechanic as opposed to something you could hold while waiting for mechanics or using them for mobility its even more robotic and inflexible than before.

AND they added two skills that cannot be double weaved (Eye of the Dragon and Mirage Dive) and one of them animation locks you and has to be used 4 times in a single rotation.

The main ARR content is a fucking slog, trust me; i'm running it right now, almost to the end of the main storyline before post-game and later patches. It's the later stuff where the devs learned from their mistakes, especially with the expansions, that gets better, but you either pay for a handy skip or you slog yourself through tedium.
I don't even HAVE the expansions, nor a subscription, so once my free days are up i'm out for a bit probably.

(DFD could give an eye or Dive ready) or reducing the number of eyes required (doubtful since it means a UI change).
And eyes really should persist after BoTD falls off sicne phase transitions kill all buildup.
SAM gets to keep his orbs, Monk keeps his FC stacks, NIN can keep using his jutsus etc. while DRG can only look as his BoTD timer ticks down and all those eyes and build up disappears. No other job wants the fancy boss transition animation to be over quickly and hates boss jumps as much as DRG.

Every. Track. Rocks. As sweet as some of the tracks in Heavensward were, didn't feel the same. I actually pause or don't even play It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia while playing in Stormblood areas, it's actually grating to return to an A Realm Reborn zone music.

I guess it depends on what you're doing. If you're solo healing, critical strike is fine.
If you want to do more damage while co-healing, you'll want to weigh DH versus SpS. It depends on how heavy Energy Drain is to your kit. If you're co-healing, then you'll be using Indom a lot, so two Energy Drains a minute? 300 oGCD potency a minute isn't heavy enough for you to outweigh SpS (see WHM calculations of last thread where Assize wasn't heavy enough for them and they have a lower %DoT value than SCH).

Summoner should be reversed:


Bahamut should be an egi and you should be able to choose to summon Ifrit, Garuda or Titan. Each of them giving beneficial statuses while they are out for their ~20 seconds. (Garuda doing magic vuln, Ifrit doing phys vuln, Titan giving defence/hp)


As far as I see it there's no reason to have three types of summons if they want summoner to be a strict DPS job.

In my experience "other adjustments" tend to really be very minor things so I wont hold my breath. They wont be making any of the sweeping mechanical changes the class needs at this point in the expansion and Yoshi had gotten in his head that DRG needs to be support melee.

I'm new to FFXIV and just hit lvl 50, finishing the main storyline quest for ARR. I've taken a break from lvling and opted to instead work on crafting and gathering before getting into Heavensward/Stormblood content. I've just recently joined a FC and found that for 300,000 I can purchase my own room in the FC house. There's at least a few convenient uses I can think of for having my own room in the GC house while lvling my crafts, and have about 500,000 saved up.

My question is if it's wise for me to purchase my own room in the FC house, or keep using the inns for now and focus on my leveling.

What's more I'm on Aether/Mateus, and while the world population is nice, I feel that at some point I want to join an even bigger world that has even more active FCs, because the one I'm in only has 28 ppl active at any given time, though I'm not sure if that's alot or not. I'm not really sure how exactly the world population works on this game, but in the future I think I'll want to buy a world transfer and get into a more packed world and FC.

The other support DPs is NIN and their unique "support" is Trick Attack which is a consistent and often used raid wide damage buff.
Meanwhile all of DRG´s supportive abilities are either random (Battle Litany crit) or very situational (piercing debuff which has been reduced to 5% and Eye of the Dragon that affects only 1 other person, requires you to be close to them and is also only 5% more damage for them).

Im fine with there being more support DPS but DRG thematically doesn't fit with being a support DPS, his support is very minuscule compared to the other "support melee DPS" and the fluidity of its playstyle and damage seems to have been gutted with clunky mechanics because of it.

In other Final Fantasies Dragoons have always been slow and heavy hitters with flashy jump skills, HW kinda managed that feel but SB DRG threw all of it into the trash.
