Its nice because knowing all the cards that the opponent has lets you play around them.

New to gwent

I just got into ranked matches. I won R1 and we both carried over. In R2 I used adrenaline rush to resilience my strongest unit and passed because his riders were a little stronger but wouldn't carry to R3. I won R3 easily but something weird happened that I can only think is a bug. I still had my leader card and a buffing card for my bodies on the board, my opponent made his move but the coin never flipped and about 10 seconds later my cards get covered up by the UI telling me I passed.

As I said I still won 50 - 20 ish but what the hell happened? That has to be a bug right?

At the beginning of the closed beta, I faced a guy. Name seemed familiar so I googled it and clicked the first result, which was Twitch. I saw his hand. I was so embarrassed I forfeited immediately.

After that, I've run into a bunch of streamers. Right now I face Mcbearded quite often. Don't really care.
One thing I have to say, many of them, when they are not streaming, just rush for R1 and forfeit.
Just play all their cards, get one round, forfeit and move to the next. I guess is a good way to grind.

The good monster and SC net decks are designed around the 4k meta, you don't use them to climb anything because at lower ranks different combos are more and more common.

You don't need to net deck to rank up, you just go for cheesy R1/R3 victory strats, take R2 if your opponent is shit and if you end up getting beaten in R1 you build into a coinflip on R3. Instant 60% win rate.

News flash: Cancer decks just mean decks that are popular because they perform well. And auto pilot? There is not one viable deck that plays as a reactive to your opponent. ALL decks are built on gimmicks, if your deck isn't cancer it is because it isn't good enough.

Get to 4k and then you can complain about 4k decks.

Dagon's biggest meta deck is consume. Wild hunt/weather is not nearly as good as it was. Also harpy carry over means you fucked up, those eggs are meant to be consumed for their 6 value, not carried over for a 3 value. Carry over decks are typically carrying multiple 30+ over into round 2, a harpy isn't shit.

Elemental carry over is only relevant if you can buff them. Mainly they are a body that is undesireable to remove in R1.
