Five Nights At Freddy's is a gateway videogame of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive furry faggotry and TWISTS. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The animatronic characters all trying their hardest to look stupid, the lore, peculiar, colorful costumes, the whole ghost faggotry and everything about the FNAF world fuels their game theory fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.

Five Nights At Freddy's is basically THE series to attract the most hated videogame fanbase known to /v/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this game and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no FNAF threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

Here's where I stopped paying attention to the story.

Nearly the entirety of the cast did plenty of wrong. Going through the games based on release order, Mike continuing to go to work in the first place is doing wrong, Phone Guy shilling for and downplaying the horrible crimes of the company he works for, the ghost kids sperging out and killing everyone but the one guy they wanted to kill, the Toy bots weren't even sapient but the hardline stance they took against adults which led to the Bite and attempts to kill the night guard were definitely wrong, Fritz Smith breaking in and tampering with the animatronics, Phone Dude making a horror-based attraction out of a tragedy, the Phantoms being such spergs that they help their killer, Springtrap for obvious reasons, every human in FNAF4, every animatronic in FNAF SL, Eggy for a lot of reasons, etc.

The only characters who you could argue legitimately did nothing wrong are Jeremy, who was just doing his job and wasn't aware of what the animatronics were capable of because they hadn't done anything at that point, the FNAF3 protagonist because they were just working at a haunted house and they even helped in freeing the spirits of the children, and the technicians in SL.

Because Scott apparently believes that his audience is too retarded to comprehend anything besides stark good-and-evil morality with no ambiguity or complexity.

Purple is a heartless, puppy-kicking evil scientist with kid-killing contraptions hidden underground and has no human traits or reasonable motives besides being as comically villainous as possible. The animatronics are all heroic, innocent, and misunderstood souls who only want to bring the evil murderer to justice and protect children.

Who needs moral complexity and compelling themes? Who needs multi-faceted characters with believable motivations? It's much easier to just turn everything into Captain fucking Planet instead, right? Jesus, this series really should've just ended at 3.

The series would've remained a horror game with decent sequels, probably. He wouldn't rely on the blind fanboys, and instead would've handled the series well. He wouldn't have fixated on redditors like a dependent girlfriend.

I'd say that the development hell the film's in is worrying. Maybe it's purely on Scott's end, with him vetoing various things. I could see Scott crashing the franchise if the movie doesn't happen, and instead he drives it to the ground.
