Swordies are now the best damage dealers with the most HP but they need probably the most gear to be effective. People don't care if you have pelt or not anymore since grinding parties aren't as much of a thing now.

Zucken is shit, it isn't even worth getting to 6 for the deep cut despite the % figures. It doesn't get 2x damage from shock and it just plain sucks. Cyclone is still the go-to AoE for ET if you ever want to do ET. Punish won't work on certain floors and you might miss it due to desync issues. I recommend still maxing out Cyclone and ignoring Zucken if you're Highlander spec, because you already have an absolute ton of single target damage that you'll hardly ever need Zucken, especially if you max Cyclone instead and get the monster gem for it. Cyclone is still 5 hits per second for 5.5 seconds = 25+2 hits, it's amazing but only if you max it now and push it even further with attributes.

Why come back now? There's nothing worth it, the returning event is shit, this event is shit, there's still little content.

Never seen another company actually decide to do resets but do it so absolutely poorly. I've seen pServers run better.

ET feels like a drag more than rewarding, it will cost you millions if your group doesn't rerun it to get the 120 cubes needed for your first two pieces, let alone all the rest. Orange 315 weapons are the only rewarding thing in this game at the moment, and those take luck or requires you to whale to get the ingredients ready.

I'm surprised the game is still doing this well, but it will drop again after all these new player events, which are just alt accounts anyways

start by making a cleric or wiz, they are the easiest newbie class lines. Make cookie cutter farming builds and you should be golden.
Also, just get your character to lvl50 and start running the daily dungeons and you should get to 300+ with little effort.
Also, there are exp buff events happening, so you should lvl up even faster
