I was just commenting that it's a shame that Blizzard hasn't made anything in the way of plot progression when there's so much potential for it. In keeping with the spirit of ripping off of TF2, they could even update character models or provide default cosmetics that keep in line with plot progression.

As it stands, nothing really HAPPENS to any of the characters, character alliances don't change, etc. But Blizzard could be doing so much more. For example, you could give Hanzo a Talon skin when he joins them at the behest of his mother or update character models to have scars they receive during cinematics, like Valve did with the Sniper after the Meet the Spy video came out.

I know Jeff has talked about Crawl, then Walk, then Run when it comes to content with this game, but hopefully we're transitioning to the Walk phase and maybe we'll see more plot-progression based cosmetics during Run.

Some updates I want to see:
>Sombra gets a scar after a run in with Zarya
>Hanzo with the Talon skin after he joins them
>Mercy's reveal that she's evil, as has been foreshadowed a few times
Among others.

Uprising wasn't even plot. It was lore. The ONLY thing it may have given us was creating the existence of Null Sector, which would be an interesting new kind of Omnic hero, since all the playable Omnics we have are good guys.

But I'm not even saying the content has to be tied to an in-game event. It could just be related to an outside comic or cinematic that actually progresses the story.

There are some hints to the heartless side of Mercy, such as the Devil and Imp skins, and showing very little remorse for what she did to Reaper that resulted in him being the way she is. Her ultimate ability to resurrect heroes is, lore-wise, a little bit unsettling, as well as how she's apparently stopped herself from aging. I'd like to see that side of her developed into being single-mindedly in pursuit of immortality, to the point that she's using Overwatch to develop her research.

I don't think you understand. I got annoyed one day and using consistent mechanics we'd been using for nights on end I took his character down and had him be captured which served as a plot point for the rest of the party to rescue him. He then 10 minutes later after reading through the rulebook started talking about racial abilities and class things that we had never heard of until that point. So I said that he should have mentioned that earlier when the plot happened.

Later the rest of the party was having a tough time in the battle so I gave him the option to escape which he lazily started making dicerolls to escape rather than doing any other option like checking for fallen keys, using his lockpicking kit. Making up some extraordinary story of a miraculous escape or anything else I would have liked to see, even after dropping hints at those exact plans. He still didn't do it because it wouldn't work with the rulebook.
