How does the hero picking phase work?
I assumed it'd wait until everyone loaded in, kind of like how the HotS loading screen works.

But my computer isn't even really that bad, I can run everything on ultra with a consistent 70fps+ and yet, whenever I load into a game, everyone and their dog has already instalocked hanzo and genji and I'm forced to heal. Is there some sort of macro I'm not aware of, or do dps mains turn down all their graphics just to load in faster and smash lock on their failure of choice.

I've always had a much better experience/more fun on the US servers personally. Ping is a problem I guess but not as much as I thought it would.

Non-English speakers have every right to play if they bought the game but I think it needs a language preference filter at the very least.

Can you read? Its a straight buff as Reinhardt does no damage when pinning someone without hitting a wall. That would make it so if you pin someone and don't hit a wall you at least do 50 damage (for 99% of their health if they less than 50HP)

If you dont have a couple of solid, skilled and capable dps on your team forget about Rein.

If you are pubbing with Rein give the round a couple of minutes and if your dps are doing jack shit then switch off to something (not Widow/Hanzo) else and kill the enemy yourself.

Honestly my best results lately have been with doing the exact opposite and using Rein as a suprise pick to go HAM when a push has stalled out.

Junkrat is a high skill hero believe it or not. Proper movement with him is like playing some kind of crazy playformer where you are jumping around from roof top to roof top.

People think he's low skill because you dont have to aim but you need maximum map knowledge and game sense to be really good with him.

Please Blizzard, just please nerf the genji ult already. His ult call has already become my least favorite sound, at times triggering intense headaches and feelings of disorientation and nausea. I've already once had a nightmare of random passersby screaming in japanese and spinning a huge dragon out of their pocket and Im not sure if my sanity can deal with another such nightmare.

Whenever I see a genji on the enemy team my heartbeat starts to become erratic, fearing for that dreadful moment when he decides to have fun with our team. Even worse, when I see a genji on our team I start feeling more sympathy towards my enemies than my allies. It not only is a gamebreaking in the sense that it hands out kills to the player like the olympic comitee hands out condoms, it also does so on a subconscious level, destroying the concepts of ally, enemy and fun.

This should not be a thing. Not in Overwatch or any competitive game.

The game should at the very least require players to enter their birth date, and then it would discreetly sort adults and children into separate queues.

Most cheaters would probably enter their age as exactly 18, so if the matchmaking tried to group all young adults (maybe 18-24) together, maybe actual adults would not have to play with so many teens.

I think the main problem people have with Overwatch lore is they're expecting plot instead of lore. A lot of what's shown is really just the background of the world as it is but not a lot of meaningful things actually HAPPEN. The attack on Volskaya didn't really change much if anything and Doomfist's attack on Numbani is really just why Orisa exists. The characters themselves don't really change or have anything drastic happen to them in the current day and that bothers some people, myself included.
