Please tell me Alex isn't really going to play on Alliance. I got all the way through Horde's quests before starting Shimmering Flats, since that's when both factions start to "merge" in questing, and I stopped playing at that point so I wouldn't be burned out from rolling Alliance. Am I really going to have to go through Horde questing again just to avoid him?

But wait! Mandate of Heaven is going on Horde! So if I want to avoid them, then I need to roll on Alliance. But they're going to assrape Alex as soon as he steps foot into Redridge, which means that if I choose to go to Redridge, I will be assraped by association. This means the only possible answer to avoid everything is to play Horde.

the good thing about vanilla's lore was that it was pretty much 90% new shit, or if it was war3 related, it was something on the "foot soldier" level(you dont really meddle with the big events and figures like Arthas, Ilidan, etc, you get a taste of the event surrounding them and the aftermaths, which was also the beauty of early wow, you were jut some bum doing random shit and helping a bigger cause instead of being the Sarger tier super-demigod that you are right now)
Once they started referencing Wracraft 3 events and figures, everything went downhill
Exception is possibly the lore around Naxxaramas in vanilla and WotLK as a whole, tho there was a lot of dumb shit in wotlk too

Scriptcraft, a server which was LITTEARLY the stolen feenix core. Gummy was the lead dev for feenix and he stole their core to host his own server.


He did so to sell gold, which was insanely profitable on scriptcraft.

Scriptcraft was a barley better then fenix server
that couldn't even fix basic things like mob pathing or log out walking through doors. You could pull every raid boss with out pulling trash for example.

But he's for sure the messiah of coding.

After getting kicked our of Alixum and Grizzly he proceeded to rage shut down the server.


He then vanished and returned later after taking all of grizzly's donation money to re-host the server for six months and after realizing no one was buying gold this time,. shut it down.

I played alliance paladin on retail TBC back in the day, really liked the lore and in time accepted the fact that ret in PvE just isn't happening.
I started to love healing, one role where paladin shone was single target healing. One of the biggest memories was getting the Triptych shield from the chest event, first epic piece for me ever.

I guess I've given fuck all advice, what I'm saying is you might learn to love holy and at the same time not be looked down upon (lolret) or be going against public opinion of prot paladins (lol Hyjal trash only).

I really dont see a difference between a rogue stunlocking someone from 100-0, a mage kiting and never taking damage, a warlock chain fearing and using set and forget dots, warriors one shotting people etc. Under the right circumstances most classes can faceroll EXCEPT paladins and maybe other hybrids in vanilla. In wrath you needed gear to faceroll as ret and even then that wasnt untill ICC (wotlk prepatch excluded)

They were, but a warrior can easily do that job and since the raid already has fury or arms warriors they can just put on a shield. The problem was that prot and ret simply didn't stand out from their counterparts. There was no time where you'd be like "man we really need a prot pally for this boss!", "if we had a ret here doing sick dps we'd get this done so much faster". However there are plenty of times other classes come in handy either for CC or just straight up damage.

It wasnt until wrath when warriors and paladins were interchangeable and not just WARRIOR TANK OR GO HOME. In fact for a lot of encounters prot pally was just straight up better which was a refreshing change of pace

As far as I know, there is no nerfed gear, and it never launched with ZA anyways, that was fairly late in the expansion. Same with Isle, that came with SW. Youre not supposed to have those daily quests and the insane amount of gold they give. You sound like a retarded carebear.

Best race/class/spec combo is the one that you will actually be able to get to 70 on a 1x server and know how to utilize it properly.
Ideal raid compositions are opinion based after 13 years of the games existance but knowing the limits of your snowflake ret pala boomkin elemental shaman survival hunter spec is important.

Play what you like, play what you like gearing up for that char selection screen view or for the animations and don't be delusional about your race/class/spec reach and usefulness and you're golden.

Vanilla pvp balance was good enough to have fun in world pvp on almost any class, which is all that mattered for vanilla PVP.

BTW rogues are nerfed from the start with the shit they got hit with at the end of the expansion, so rogues will be shit compared to what they were like for seasons 1 2 and 3 - while actually in season 1 2 and 3. For example, Im almost certain the talent in assassination that gives 30% bonus crit dmg on abilities like hemo - was 30% bonus crit on ALL ATTACKS

Im saying I wont be rolling a rogue, because they did a lot more white damage before that nerf, and it was the reason people started playing as mute. The crit bonus was only for ability dmg, and poisons became the go-to in order to compete with warriors. The meta turned into warrior+druid, all day, every day.

i loved wotlk because of how balanced the pve was. i was totally happy to heal a dungeon or raid because i knew that i COULD dps or tank if i wanted to, i'm just filling a role needed to get this dungeon group going asap. the fact that anything before wotlk shoehorned hybrids into just healing was fucking gay

? ele and enh shaman were things in tbc. so were feral druid offtanks, and feral dps. paladins were fine aoe tanks, and even though ret was a bit of a meme it wasn't awful. only in vanilla really were hybrid specs forced to heal
