She's growing on me a bit, but mostly for really specific niche uses or map spots that I'm not ready to try on comp. The strongest I've found is King's Row defense, last point. Drop a barrier in the doorway to the room with the megahealth, and you have a nice long sightline to spam down and a pit on your right to suck people into that try to walk through the shield. Also, she's good for keeping a toe on the point in some KOTH maps. Like I said, niche stuff.

I legit like Orisa, she's a unique character and her kit is fun when the team works with it. I enjoy her a lot more than Rein. I also have a friend who sort-of mains her and he's fun to play with, especially as Mercy because Fortify + Armor health + Mercy healing gives Orisa ridiculous survivability.

Only thing is it's hard to find a scenario where she's the best pick for the team, and if I'm free to pick ANY tank I want without worrying too much, I'd go D.Va every time anyway

Listen up folks. Chu is doing a panel at SDCC for Doomfist and Talon. When they did this for Ana, they released 2 comics on her which they showed off and talked about the panel.

Given we are following the same route as last year, we will likely get a new comic soon. However, I don't think it will focus on Doomfist though he will be featured. Jeff and Chu promised a lot more Talon lore about with Reaper backstory several weeks ago. Obviously the Talon lore came so Reaper's backstory is incoming very shortly.

Keep an eye out. The comic could drop any time in the next 2 weeks (hopefully).

it's an inevitability that 30-40% of your matches will have team booga, you have to deal. if the ratio is way higher it's on you, so work on it. some tips:

- see if muting team voice helps you improve and focus

- pick/learn carry heroes (i.e. pharah) if you're really desperate

- check career profile stats and make sure people are using heroes theyre good at

- watch streams of top players of your character, at least look for minor things like what parts of the maps they go to, etc.

- if you find yourself on losing streaks don't play for massive stretches at a time

I'm finding that room for error on positioning is razor thin for support in dive meta, especially on defense. I'm finding myself playing much farther back this season, but you also have to have a route to get to the team quickly if a flanker or flankers you can't handle get on you. If you're Zen or Ana, you really need to have the aim to take on individual flanks, if Lucio you can deliberately bait flankers and divers a bit.

Just keep practicing. Especially work on positioning and tracking. Widow is not as forgiving as say S76 if you miss shots. OW has only been out for a year. This game is very different compared to other games' hitboxes.

I was kind of hoping we'd get an Offense Omnic so there'd be one in every class, but after Doomfist that class needs to be left alone for a while. So here's an idea for Athena as a Support class.

200 health (50 HP, 50 Armor, 100 Shield)

Primary fire: Spread Laser. Linear beam that splits from primary target to up to 2 adjacent targets within 10 meters (secondary beams track targets, primary needs to be kept on target). 25 meter range, 60 dps (30 on secondary targets), 100 ammo, 25 ammo per second, 1.5 second reload.

Secondary fire: Inhibitor Tag. Fire a tag at an enemy that reduces their healing, shield restoring, and ultimate charging by 50%. Lasts 5 seconds, 10-second cooldown.

Ability 1: Life Tether. Roadhog's Hook for allies, pulls them directly beside Athena and encases them in a 100HP barrier bubble for 2 seconds after hooking to protect them during the pull. 20m range, 6 second cooldown.

Ability 2: Defense Recharge. Deploys a device that increases Shield recharge rate by 50%, restores Armor by the amount Shield usually regenerates per second, and heals Barriers by the same amount per second. Effect occurs even while under fire (Shields under fire recharge at normal amount until not under fire). Lasts 4 seconds, 15-second cooldown.

Ultimate: Holographic Double. Creates a second hologram Athena that has all abilities except Defense Recharge (Primary fire deals 20% less damage overall) and will automatically target enemies and Life Tether allies in danger. Cannot be destroyed or CC'd. Lasts 8 seconds.

Yeah, it definitely looked on the high side, your movement is extremely twitchy and you overshot a lot.

Lower it, a lot. Low sens isn't a meme, it works best for the vast majority of people. I was always shit at FPS games before I played OW because I always played with really high sens. Couldn't snipe in tf2 and it took me forever to get out of silver in csgo, near when overwatch came out I decided to lower my sens and I started improving rapidly.

Now I'm way better than I ever thought I could be, sometimes my brain just goes on autopilot and I flick to headshot players I didn't even consciously realize were there yet and feel like a god. Currently masters one-tricking Mccree with the occasional game on widow, which is far higher than I ever thought I would be.

Just lower it anon, super fucking low. It will be extremely uncomfortable at first and you'll feel like you're playing with tank controls, but once you get used to it you'll start to improve a lot.

If you want to test how it feels to play at a higher refresh rate before buying your monitor, I'd recommend creating a custom resolution in nvidia/amd panel and testing it out. Some 60hz monitors support "overclocking" to 75hz+ in lower resolutions

I'm not sure if I'm right in saying this and can't really wrap my head around trying to explain it but, the moba inspired elements of giving heroes all these abilities and adding to an FPS format is what makes the game such a dud competitive wise (imo) just because the skill differences between different heroes. A Mercy main at the same rank as a Genji main probably can't play DPS well at all but the Genji main can probably play healer acceptably for the rank. Healers in MOBAs don't have this as much.

I'd love that, each punch deals 15 damage and he does a flurry of 15 punches in a short-ranged cone in front of himself over 1.5 seconds or so. And since he'd be using his prosthetic left arm it wouldn't be egreigous.

Multiple characters have the ability to negate any actual skill in aiming. It's a game about using abilities more than it is about aiming. So that means 99% of games play out the exact same way over and over and over again.

You'll never get a moment like in CS where someone 1v5s a team on pure aim, positioning and skill alone. You'll never get a comeback moment like in Quake where a pixel perfect rail shot gets a player back in map control. You'll never get a moment like in tribes where players skillfully move through enemy defense and land consecutive blue disks.

Instead you've got a bunch of pussies jiggling back and forth waiting for people to over engage so they don't waste their abilities/ults first.

I personally think changing her rez to a single person rez would be a bit more balance and make the rez feel more versatile and would get used more, rather than just saving it for that 4-5 man rez. This would mean she could undo small mistakes like a tank or crucial dps dying, but wouldn't be able to undo teamwipes. It would also mean she wouldn't just be hiding waiting to rez, and could stay supporting her team more.
