Do I have an obligation to financially support his stream at this point? I'd like to support the streamer, but I don't see the benefit in it for me. I can view the stream regardless of whether or not I subscribe.

I love how people say Im no life when I have 40 hours this season and ask me how do I have time to play OW. That shows how new they are to any multiplayer game. actually, I had a thought of giving Mercy's Res the new secondary effect of being a massive heal to living allies as well and possibly buff raised and still-living allies with maybe a shield, temporary regeneration, damage boost, or something.

The way I tend to see Rez abilities in my experience playing healers in general, they're basically erasers for when you fuck up your healing, and making it the 'pinnacle' of a healer's whole skillset is like saying "your best moment can come after you spent the last five minutes sucking eggs through garden hoses."

He didn't get really nerfed, but he got a bunch of stuff changed. His recon mode is significantly better, with self-healing being uninterrupted by damage and usable while moving, now on resource, his recon gun being more accurate and with 5 more bullets.

His transformations give 20% damage resistance, which isn't that noticeable and sentry has 100 more bullets, although they gutted his spread and removed the ability to headshot in turret. They also removed his bonus armor from tank mode so you have to play super-carefully with it.

tl:dr recon mode good, turret mode still okay but not as reliable for melting

Mercy isn't OP, its just her kit really doesn't mesh well and need tuning.

She's got her standard beam to heal or amp up damage, thats fine.

She can glide about every two seconds, but requires to be looking at someone to do it, and that's a bit weird. They need to raise the CD of it and optionally just make it so she can at least go a certain distance with her glide without needing to latch onto someone like the cocksleeve she's made out to be.

The fact her form of defense in her pistol means having to switch from her staff is dumb too, other healers don't have this problem as Lucio can just AoE while shooting, Zen only needs to deploy an orb and he's free to do as he wishes and Ana while interrupted healing can happen with her, she has a lot to deal with it from her weapon itself to abilities, her grenade just does so much shit to benefit her. You could make her staff also work as an offensive beam(?) but its only the first idea to spring to mind.

And the ult? Its the best and worst ult at the same time, reviving teammates is amazing but the way people get value out of it is just letting teammates die so you can fly in to remove the damage. How its used just goes against what a healer is meant to operate, if they made it so you could only revive 1 person to encourage tempo rezing or have it so the more people you rez, the less health everyone comes back with, it could be significantly better and not make your main healing source tuck tail just to abuse a powerful move.

I know its hard to say that, but as someone who has played as him for over 40 hours, let me lay it to you like this:

- Rocket Punch:

>Knocks enemies back 10 meters on average

He can send you skyward, halt your movement with a stun, send you flying, and even make you consciously forced to move with his ult.

Have you heard people talk about the infamous Sombra ARG? Basically, prior to release of Sombra she was hinted at in lots of small ways for a long time, until she started hacking shit like the Blizzard forums even. It was a very passive ARG though, most steps were just "wait for the next part to happen", which is why it was so hated ultimately.

One of the things the community VERY heavily believed was a hint was that the skybox in Dorado (a map known to be related to Sombra) had a hint in its texture. People messed with it and tried to get all sorts of info from it, but ultimately it turned out to be literally nothing, just artifacting on the texture. Blizz even said "You're not looking in the right places" to try and get people to focus on things other than the Skycode.

Because the Skycode became such a huge part of the community aspect of the ARG, Sombra references it a few times in-game. It's a spray for her, and one of her emotes is her bringing it up in purple lights and laughing. Same for her dialogue about the sky in Dorado

If you are in bronze to gold-play dps like tracer, soldier or pharah
Genji works too. Annihilate the enemy team and you hone your own skills as well. At plat. Swap to mercy, use the broken sr gains to rocket yourself to diamond. At diamond, you must swap between mercy and a main dps. Just go with mercy if two dps slots are taken but if a dps slot is open, pick your main deeps hero, git gud and keep going. Eventually you will reach masters. Basically do the same thing. Eventually you will reach grandmaster. NOW you can turn on voice comms, IF YOU WISH it's not necessary, but you will have actual humans as teammates in this tier instead of animated golems brought to life just to impede you, like in the lower ranks.
At this point in the game, it is less important to main and more important to actually flex for the team. Though you should have a good tracer or genji in your back pocket just in case. If you're actually good you will make it to top 500. or at least get your season high there. There's no shame in dropping out of it once you've reached top 500. Because it is genuinely time consuming to stay there because of decay.
If you don't have a lot of free time, that's fine, let yourself slip, it is not a reflection of skill. But the fact that you made it all the way up there at all says something impressive.

Yes, you can climb up of elo hell, I've done it as a support main. My first placements shoved me into silver, 1783 if I recall correctly. A friend of mine helped me up to gold, about 2300. Now I'm in diamond, slowly clawing my way to masters.
Things to remember while playing in low elo:
1) You don't have to be everyones coach. In fact, it hurts you more than it helps. If you pay more attention to what others are doing - your job(Whatever it is) will suffer in return, and you will never improve.
2) If the argument stretches more than ten seconds - end it. Block the person if you need. More than ten seconds of discussion equals to wasted time, not a succesful strategy.
3) Generally, the voicechat muting exists for a reason. If you don't like someone - just fucking mute him. It's impolite and everything, but everyone comes to the same idea after tenth time they don't block someone and regret it afterwards. Yeah, he might say something useful two times in a match. Are those two times worth your nerves, your patience and concentration? Guarantee you - they are not.

Just in general, think about this more globally, the grindfest of trying to rank up isn't just one game, it's a shit ton of games. So the less of yourself you lose per one game - the better. And after all, this is a god damned entertainment - try to have fun.

Oh, and also, never agressively tell anyone what they should do. Wanna make a suggestion - make a suggestion, not an order. We are all free people, and everyone hates when some random ass dude on voice chat starts giving out commands like it's a god damn army simulator.
