I want to farm a boowook gem, any suggestions on how show I do it? I know in the 220 HG there are boowooks, however I think that the royal mausoleum spawn is much bigger, the only issue being the fact that there'll be more noobs around killing mobs (so they can end up getting the drop, but they can also make the counter increase). I have a SR to farm it which should be near optimal (probably cata would be better cause oneshotting the mobs should be easy and cata gets trot)

There's only a few really shit ones. At this stage of the game if you still don't have an orange weapon you're probably not going to reach the level of investment they require to be better than purples.

The exceptions, I'd say, are Regard Horn Pike (purple 2h spear is absolute shit, easy mats) and Emengard Musket (mats are all RNG and easy, cheap recipe). The other purples are all more or less serviceable up to stage 4-5.

Skill tree:

Fire Wall 15+gem:
firewall has one of the best scalling and the cooldown was buffed after the huge pyro nerf with the renewal, firewall 16 = 9 tiles, 25 seconds CD. Main concern is that the lv 16 is too big (even wit ha cube formation), maybe lv 10 could work for a guaranteed hit on shit and extra points could go into other skills

Hell Breath 5: okay scaling and it's kinda like your ultimate, hits at the same rate as incineration, still could work on lv 1 assuming something else deserves more points, not sure if level makes the debuff stronger/higher chance.


Flame ground LV 1: another gutted spell and didn't received the CD reduction like the others, solid 1 point at least since no more duration scaling, mod damage will come mostly from agny and the base skill itself.

Fire pillar: Cd is now shoter than before, always last the max duration of 10 seconds, great skill, but low scaling, 1 point wonder?

Fireball 15: we'll soon get the 5 overheat buff so, kinda no brainer to spam when the big shit are on cooldown


Enchant Fire 5: it works like a weak transmit prana and the extra line is okay, lv 5 = 100% uptime

Flare 3: leftovers. Has a decent lv 1 base (400%) but the scaling is not that good even at lv 15 (barely 730), basically dumping leftovers

Class paths:

Route 1: the dark thaumaturge.
T2 -> WL 2.
Basically boost your damage with thauma 2 buffs (that scales with your int) and pick warlock 2 at r8 for extra overall DPS. Relatively okay dps boost for your party, somewhat limited farming ability (no jp to burst so you're kinda limited by your own power in what you can kill before swell expires, but 15 seconds at lv 10 swell is fine to be honest).

The Chronomancer.
Classic build from the old times, it's simply, you pass that shitty spells of yours and also supports your party. Rank 8 used to be sage as a no brainer but now that you can't really do much with cloned fireballs, sage is not as interesting as it used to be, but missile hole is still good and now that two sage dps skills actually packs quite a punch with their huge damage mod (but horrible cooldown). Warlock 1 could 1 could work as an option but we al know that WL now shines at c2 with mastema attribute after the DT massive nerf.
Necro c1 was also kinda like WL 1 when Flesh cannon was VERY good, but it suffes from the most problems like DT, low ass scaling and base mod, even being multihit. soon to be buffed to 2 overheat so things might be more interesting for this path, also, there's decay. A chrono with decay would be amazing if archers were more...interesting (the best archer build deals melee damage, sapper 3 falcon 3, kek)

The summoner:
Sorc 2 is the basis of summoner build. The shitty part is giving up on INT for SPR. It's not the end of the world since there's enchant fire and thauma to scale with int so Sorc 2 into thauma 2 could be a thing. Options are also going necro 2 or wl 2 or even FF 2 (decay) if you're crazy enough to roll this without linker.

PART 3

The Antipode: P3 Cryo 3.
Everyone knows how Cryo 3 works, iceblast deals okay damage, pillar is godly and the icewall combos. unfortunately you can't snow rolling + fireball like before but the build is still fine as a mix of dps and utility. Rank 8 could go either sage or PSYCHOKINO for PP combos, but I'm not sure if we can still place two fireballs (soon 5) on top of the icewall and PP it for shards. Does the new fireball still breaks with one hit with PP or when in contact with icewall?

The Elementalist: Pyro+ele3 is a old combo, but usually people go p2 ele 3 wl 2, but since we want pyro 3, there's the option to go pyro 3, ele 3 and wiz 2 for surespell (and sleep 10 is also okay).

Linker: Linker is not as dead as people tough, you can still combo a lot with it, specially when soloing. Linker 2 for 8 mobs into Warlock/FF? kinda similar to the FF, but honestly, linker is boring. And FF without surespell is tricky to play.

Necromancer: another summoner, spr build if routed to the c3 class, filler could be the c1 sorc for another autoatk bot. it's the safest choice since if your build goes into shit, you can still afk farm with it, kek

Jean Grey route: pyro 3, kino 3. CC and control while your fire dots burns people. Suffers a lot from the fireball nerf since kino mods, while decent, they lack burst and demands channeling. if you don't mind doing hellbreath, pp, gravity rotations... it definitely work. sage at r8 for pvp, cryo for boss burst with ice wall.

Alchemist: kek, another way to save the character slot by going something useful
Wiz3 linker 2: magic missile hangmen combo, links and well. not a big fan of magic missile but it's something that works. Unfortunately, there are better things to pick instead of pyro 3 on a linker centred build. (aka farming thaumaFF)

c2 x sadhu 3 pd 2 is best cleric aoe dps, second only to elememe (not by much) and beats that in versatility
c2 priest 2 diev 2 miko tao is best ET support slut

According to my math which might be wrong. Accuracy may be a problem I have to work out, I'd have to do the math on that which I'll do later and invest what little STR I need to, to make sure I hit.
Also I'm consdering dropping the 1 capture to get 5 Evasion as those calculations are with Lv5 Evasion instead of 4.
