A visiting yuropoor friend gave me an excuse to go into Manhattan for once, so I took the opportunity to take us to the Nintendo store and 'Videogames NYC'(A store that has a lot of collectible and rare vidya games, consoles, accessories, etc. as well as imports).

I got other things, but here's all the splatoon specific loot I got. The Callie and Marie are imports, because I don't think they are in production anymore, as I couldn't find them elsewhere.

Also didn't realize the 'Gulf War Gameboy' was at the Nintendo store. Was pretty cool to see it still functioning after all these years.

Pretty sure I've answered these in another thread before, but I don't want this thread to die before the direct, so:

I bought a Switch for retail price (they're in stock everywhere in Australia). Buying physical because it's cheaper and I want to collect it.

So far I like all changes in TC and RM. Ability changes shouldn't matter to me since I prefer speed ups and ink savers. I'm glad damage up is gone, maybe players will actually use ability sets that are worth a damn.

I'll miss seekers, only because they were great at make a path straight to a goal. If Port Mackerel is coming back, then it won't be the same without them.

Already pre-ordered the amiibos, pro controller, and case. I'm praying they won't get fucked up/go missing in the mail.

Lil' Judd will be explained in the new sunken scrolls, I think. He might get a brief mention in the direct.

Hairstyles are a great addition, and I hope there'll be more in future updates, including an Octoling wig.

Strange, I expected more active hype before the Direct, instead it seems slower than usual here. Gotta go for now, so don't die /ink/

Had Switch since one of the first restocks in late March, and LMAO'd at losers who paid more than $300 for one.
Physical. I love actually being able to tangibly own a game.
I don't think checkpoints will really change much besides giving an even bigger advantage to Quick Respawn stacking Blasters playing defense.
The RM shot change actually seems useful. It's way too fucking easy to avoid the RM vortex.
I'm glad the most cancerous abilities are mostly gone.
Spectator mode is a huge missed opportunity, not allowing you to spectate online matches in progress instead of sticking you at a boring screen for 3 minutes and only sometimes letting you press B to return to the lobby.
I'll certainly try to find the amiibo 3-pack whenever my local stores open, but I know I'll at least find the game.

I heard that special attacks are being nerfed and that I will have more clothing options because attack/defense clothes are no longer a thing, is this true and can I look very good while being competitive

Specials are brand new while old specials are gone. Overall they're much more toned down in power though especially with the removal of invincibility on demand.

Attack/Defense up were never required you could always look fresh and have useful abilities.

I doubt we'll learn anything about him until most of the way through the single player, and then only in a sunken scroll.
The new hair styles are great, but they fucking better keep OG woomy and yebby styles, as well as adding even more later on.
