Balance has nothing to do with stupid design.
Retards keep thinking that everyone complaining about Mercy thinks she is super OP or can't beat her.

In reality it's just because Mercy is an obnoxiously low-skill character emblematic of terrible design who enables the worst parts of the OW fanbase.

It's the same reason people complain about Junkrat. Junkrat is shit, only retards think Junkrat is OP. But Junkrat has an extremely low skill floor and extremely low skill ceiling so you get stuck with all these shitter Junkrat mains crutched by playing a low skill character. The character enables shit people. That's why most people who complain about Junkrat actually wish he was buffed in a way to make him more skillful.

Same with Mercy, nobody would give a fuck if Mercy was made mechanically challenging to play. Instead, she's even less demanding than Junkrat but also very powerful.

There is NOTHING wrong with a low skill cap hero, but that low skill cap should be represented accurately in game by how effective they are. A character that takes low time and skill to master should not be as effective as a hero that takes a LOT of time and skill to master. This is just how to balance a game decently, nothing we are saying is totally out of the oridnary.
A hero with a high skill cap like Genji can truly turn the tides of a game, and it takes a lot of practice and mechanical skill to do that. Mercy takes very little practice and mechanical skill, yet her abilities make her very poerful and able to change a game's outcome easily.

Actually hacking a McCree and Pharah can help you get a quick pick on them.
By hacking mccree you take away a quick reload(his roll) and flash bang (fuck FB), but you gotta out aim him which can be really hard. And with Pharah well she is more predictable to Track when she cant jet off fucking fast af.
But obviously it all depends on the situation.

Junkrat needs buffs. He's a dps with a bad matchup against almost every other character in the game. He even has bad matchups against every SUPPORT except Symmetra which is just ridiculous. His ult is spent on a solo hero most of the time despite charging much slower than Tracer's and being on a worse hero because it's canceled by a gentle breeze with no refund (even in the startup animation, unlike Genji or almost every other character's). Increase his projectile speed or something so he isn't countered by having working movement keys.

Blizzard, like most big devs, don't reveal what they're working on for several reasons

1. Kills hype. Surprises and hype keep interest in the game alive.

2. Holds them to account for what they've announced. If they decide to go in another direction or delay it or whatever, now they have to explain to the playerbase about why the content isn't coming/is late. Nobody wants to have to do that.

3. Publicly traded companies don't want shareholders knowing when content is coming out. Of course most of the executives probably wont understand what a new hero or map is, but they'll know at this point "Blizzard stocks go up every time overwatch, their biggest game, releases content"

The short answer is:

Blizzard just don't know how. This is the first shooter they've ever done and its built from the remnants of a failed mmo (Titan), they're pretty much making it up as they go along.

Sombra was an example of them getting it completely wrong and dragging it out for too long with too little information or anything at all tangible.

They need to practice more and learn how to get the balance right. Ana and Orisa were pretty decent to be fair.

Gave us an idea of their abilities (Ana was a modified sniper rifle with biotic healing technology, easy to figure out shes a healing sniper. Orisa we need had the same reactor as Zarya's gun so she'd have a sucking power and would likely have something to do with the OR15s in numbani airport etc.)

They just need to start the teasing earlier and give us more.

The point is that she escapes death and puts you in a defensive position. He had that since launch day and he was never good because he doesn't have a lot to go with it. His weapon is just absolute shit and his E is useless in an active engagement. That leaves his Shift which you need to use up for mobility (you may still have the second use depending on if the jump needed a second blast). His ult isn't spectacular either because even if you flank the whole enemy team with it, only one person turning around will shut it down.

His primary is the only weapon in the game basides scatter with ricochet ability though. With it you dont need direct line of sight and can shoot around corners.

You need Captain America like angle calculating ability on the fly to be effective with it though. He's not low skill cap at all like the meme says he is and people just dont feel like putting in the work to use his kit to max ability.

you play Zarya right? The numbers look good but it doesn't mean you're doing the right thing to win your matches. Tanks like to blame the dps when they start getting gold damage without realizing that they aren't actually tanking anything. It's really easy to get high damage numbers on Rein, Zarya, and Dva without actually helping your team in any meaningful way. I used to be a "top 100" Rein according to overstats because I barely put my shield up and swung away while Ana made me immortal back in season 2.

Always Tier should be:
Tracer, Genji, Rein, Roadhog, Winston, D.va, Mercy, Mei, Bastion, Zarya and Sombra.

Sometimes Tier (depends on what your doing)
Ana, Hanzo, Soldier, Lucio, Orisa, Pharah, Junkrat, McCree, and Reaper

Never Tier
Symmetra, Widowmaker and Zen(unless you know he has ult)

Sometimes its just better kill them rather bothering with hacking them but hacking them first just confirms the kill and lowers the odds of you dying to them.

If, by the grace of god, you're stuck with only one Mercy main on your team, then you're stuck with an inflexible team comp. two or more and it's pretty much a guaranteed loss. along with that there's really only two outcomes for the game, either your mercy is decent and knows how/when to rez.
