Probably a good enough way to determine if it's my field or not

I've stopped doing my boosting business, people don't care about high ranks anymore. People just prefer to play casual games and have fun now.

Some tips on boosting accounts:

>instalock DPS (usually tracer/soldier)
>try to carry
>if team has competent DPS or more than two DPS consider switching to a tank
>repeat

It's also harder to climb the ladder with DPS heroes because the system prefers tanks and healers for performance based SR but it's easier to carry with DPS heroes.

I disagree, Widow has been a miserable experience for boosting because of how easily she's countered, and the team can just ignore her even if you've got god aim. I remember playing against actual hacking widows in s1 and it was easily countered by diving them.

On the topic of sens, I play higher sens for genji (about 7k eDPI) and about 4k eDPI for McCree, I recommend setting a different crosshair for different characters so that your brain knows how to aim on what character. I found it hard playing Genji at lower eDPI and I can't play precision hitscan at high eDPI. Perhaps you could try something like that for your Mercy, McCree and other characters.

This, she has a lot of counters. Tracer eats her for free but at least she's fairly uncommon for a good while, but even a mediocre Tracer can kill you and even a crappy one can be annoying. Then there's Genji. And even Soldier counters her to an extent. Winston has a 200% pickrate and Winstons will leap you on sight. D.Va bullies you hard.

It's not an easy thing to play Widow.

Guess it depends what level you're doing it at, I'm only a low GM shitter and players in Diamond/below seem to have basically no clue how to counter her. They either go winston and try to fight you in the middle of your whole team 1v6 or go widow themselves and get dumpstered. Her SR gains are also pretty fucked and you aren't very reliant on your team for healing/shields.

That's a good idea with mercy though, I'll definitely be doing that.

It's okay, but quite buggy last time I played (around October/November).
It's also pretty loud and annoying. Voice acting is terrible. Most voice lines are blandly spoken by the narrator until you earn enough gems to buy the characters' voice packs.

It's got a card system that allows you to customize your character a bit before and during the match, but only while you're in the spawn room. You earn points for them during the match.
I think you play against bots until you hit lvl 5, but there's no way you'd know that if someone didn't tell you.

Remember when your support main actually had to be somewhat competent to be in a game with GM players?

I would take back the Beyblade or Tank meta in a heartbeat. I just got out of a game with THREE Mercy mains. There's actually nothing we could have done about the game.
One hardlocked Mercy, the other two grumbled for 20 seconds, one picked D.va and shot at the enemy team from no closer than 50 meters, never used defense matrix, and the third picked Lucio and got one beat off the entire time. The one who picked Mercy had horrendous game sense. She was 2700 SR two seasons ago...

There is no counter play to Mercy. You just have to guess if you should kill them early, and hope to god you can wipe the rest of the team in enough time before that stupid bitch gets back to contest payload. Even with that, someone absolute retards manage to climb and get placed in games with myself and top 500 players with as low as 20% winrates.

If you play Mercy you should actually consider suicide. Or pick up another character and learn game mechanics for the love of god.

Fuck you Overwatch team, I'm convinced you actually don't know what you're doing at this point.

Nah, I don't remember stuff that never happened. I do remember tho that there was an insane amount of incompetent Ana/D.va players boosted way above their actual rank by a system that allowed them to effortlessly gain SR by doing simple tasks, without need for aiming or precise timings.

The best "meta" was just ended with Anniversary patches. Pretty much everything was playable, each match brought something different, we just had a new hero that tried to claw her way into the meta. Now everything stabilized and we have nothing but winstons, d.vas and mercymains in every game.

And all this is coming from an Ana main. She needed a nerf back then, because she wasn't fun or challenging to play.

Right click is also super easy

Its really dry that characters have maybe 1-2 character specific kill lines, and most of them are apologetic or even amicable.

I feel like junkrat, Roadhog, and sombra especially would have more to say about the characters they are interacting with and killing

Orisa would have more deadpan commentary about these people she doesn't even know to play up her humor.

And Dva, for as contrived and cancerous a character she is, could make more game references to the characters she kills ("No air strike for you!" on 76 kill, "You're not taking this princess!" on winston kill, "Sorry the agility build didn't work out for you!" on genji kill, etc.)

At the present moment, the only characters outside of Tracer and Sombra with character specific banter that actually sound like they are completely in line with the non-canon enabled characters are Torb and Reinhardt, but only because of their exaggerated personalities allowing for that.

The problem is I can be a platinum and spam pharrah up to mid-high master before people start both picking soldier (to a lesser extend mccree, widow) and being able to aim with him. Same issue with mercy. Players spam 1 hero into masters then have a panic attack when they have to play someone else. I play support and I can switch onto other roles if need be.

I think I found a way to fix 2cp
When you cap the last point - it closes off the entrances to that point for the defenders.
So, if you got two ticks - that's one door down, and the last tick should be pretty easy to get, since you only have to defend one direction.
You got three ticks - all the doors are shut, you ultimately won the round.
Plus, it gives the maps some dynamic, which they currently lack, compared to escort/koth.

What do you think? Is it a good idea?
