That was actually on a /vp/ixelmon server so... semi-vanilla.

That was my drug farm. You could craft Energy Powder from sugar and cocoa, and then adding netherwart and potato made it Energy Root. Best part was, you could sell it all to the PokeMarts en-masse for TONS of dosh.

I tried RTG once with Biomes O Plenty but I didn't like what I got,can't remember why. That looks great though so it might be worth sticking to vanilla biomes for RTG. I did however have better luck with FWG using BOP. Where's FLAOT guy when you need him?

I think that the biomes it adds have quantity over quality. There are a ton of ugly biomes with yellow grass or spiders and stuff. But there are also quite a few good biomes. I also like the fruits and items it adds, most people see those as bloat.

I'd say go ahead and make a test world, or just look at the biome list, and disable the biomes you don't like.

And, no, you can't enable it in an already existing world.

Place the house in the hill, but place the crops in the flat lands, if you want to have a terrace farm so much do it upper in the mountain not in front of plain land because the reason people made terrace farms was because there was no plains to grow the crops nearby but thats not your case..

What do you miss most about the old days? For me its the assembly cart. You could program it with some kind of Turing machine code and it would build your railways for you. You could make it build whatever you want in a 5x5 area everytime it moved forward. You could get clever with loops and variables and it would place booster tracks at regular intervals with red torches to power them. With the right program, you could even make it tunnel through oceans for 1000s of blocks at a time. I haven't seen it since 1.2.5 and I miss it. Why do mods these days not even come close to what we had?

No. At certain times, backwards compatibility is NOT an option. Sometimes, it is technically no possible. Those of us who know how to do things, who have read the documents, who have taken the time to keep informed get really annoyed when the things we want to do are hindered by idiots who refuse to keep up. More so, there is an agenda at work here that we, the public, do not see, do not know, do not understand. Mojang is pushing Minecraft in a specific direction, for specific reasons. The sooner we are at that end goal, the sooner we will achieve full stability, the sooner Minecraft will be a single game. Holding onto legacy code for people who refuse to learn is only detrimental to Minecraft and those of us who, again, have taken the time to learn and thus know what is going on. Basically just a supplementary mod for the modpack which I haven't named yet (working title: Toxic Jungle Pack, even though its only partially about toxic jungles).

The cloud layer is at y=0.5 and most of the world will be a toxic ''ocean'' in the sense that its actually void, so you can't sail it with vanilla boats or swim in it as you will just fall into the void. It turns out that copying builds really does help. I feel like I understand the process a bit more now. My only regret is that I messed up and made one side a block too long. That and that it feels a tiny bit small on the inside.

Thats... actually pretty good anon, its a generic medieval house but you somehow made it better by adding that sandstone constrast ,those stair supports for depth in the stone roof at front, the arches of spruce look really nice and the trapdoor with the leaves decoration looks decent to not be too overdetailed. Grecoroman houses didn't usually have exposed outside beams, and roofs in Minecraft are bound to look goofy, look for another style or work around those limits however you can (Noodlor's world had some greek/roman builds IIRC)

Ok, I got the right version of Java going. The mod i'm having issues with right now is Conquest Reforged; when I boot up the game, the Forge loader is getting stuck on baking models. There's apparently something like 54,000 to go through and it slows down to a crawl and eventually stops.

I might have an idea for a mod that lets you see your world out for tens of thousands of blocks. So Amidst takes the world seed and draws up a map based on how it would generate. What if there was a mod that paints the calculated map with proper in-game colours on a loose triangular mesh based on height and renders the mesh in-game beyond the horizon of the loaded world? What if we didn't have the shitty terrain generation in vanilla minecraft but something more akin to RTG with Biomes O' Plenty? And the biomes are all properly separated out based on temperature and humidity. So basically each 10k region can be completely different from another. Imagine this, you could look in one direction and see the rest of the forest gradually rise and whiten and then some 20k away you can just make out the peaks of the icy mountains beyond, no more shitty fog obstructing your view. Look in the opposite direction and you see grassy plains take over from the woods which stretches out in front of a wide beach separating it from a vast ocean where you see islands with desert and jungle biomes and there's even a volcano out there too.

its *bantz* graffiti from other people on the build team. The station was literally abandoned in both the meta and in a design sense. People thought it was a good place to put "memey" signs and conduct other forms of "expression" out of view from the build leader.

Ironically we built stations for a metro system we planned but either they were literally forgotten or the person who built them quit minecraft and the metro plan by then had changed. Instead of erasing them we just made the line "offically" abandoned.

Could someone with more powerful autism explain how I fix this? I've never touched any of these "tech mods" before and according to the ingame tutorial I need to get steel with industrialcraft blast furnaces so I can make a furnace thats not shit. Its slow as all fuck and the guide said to build multiples.
The problem is, it looks like one of the heaters is getting 99% of the electricity while the others are fighting over the remaining 1%.
Is this something like the electricity taking the path of least resistance, so its all being funneled into the center heater? Is there a way to fix this besides wiring each heater to its own power source? Because right now all the solar panels on the roof are wired into one cable that gets split between all the other machines near the ground floor.

not entirely sure how vanilla IC2 works but you're probably trying to send too much power down a single wire which is bottlenecking your grid, and the '99%' of the electricity you're getting is actually a portion of you're overall power production. Use bigger wires or more wires.

I hate this current trend that is seen specially in Conquest buildings or most buildings nowadays, with few exceptions like Noodlor or Broville. That and the use of shaders to make it less bland since shaders can make even vanilla generation look good. I miss the old buildings that either were simple but cozy or were complex enough using real architectural features like arches, columns and other details.

What this guide doesn't tell you is the amount of space and resources required to build one. They are not easy to setup, even in creative. That, and golems are so annoying to work with.

If you want to go all in, it helps to have a solid grasp of vanilla+automagy redstone mechanics, understand how to use and configure golems for large or advanced systems, and is useful to have used TC mirrors+automagy melding mirror before.
