She's still the same cold hearted bitched from beginning to end of the trilogy, who just happens to have only one thing in the entire world she cares about. Multiple reasons.
Because damage is quadratic instead of linear, you are better off stacking one stat at the behest of the other than you are trying to make them even.
Even 50% MAG is better than 40% MAG and 40% ATK at the same time for Fryevia.

Now, you might think because of this you could stack ATK instead of MAG, but there's more to it than that. Not only is it hard to stack ATK on a unit with only one weapon variety, it is EXTREMELY easy to stack MAG on her thanks to the way Letters and Arms (Dingus's TM) stacks on global for no reason at all. She can hit ridiculous levels with relative ease.

That's not all, though. When dual wielding, the ATK stat of each hand is subtracted from the corresponding damage calculations, but MAG has no such property. So her MAG potential is truly doubled, something you don't get with physical units.
To drive this even further home, nearly every enemy in the game has a lower SPR than MAG, and many bosses have become physical resistant.
Her BiS needs two needles, but if you lack that just give her the Enhancer.
