You already have one of the best sets for him. +atk is also good depending on how you play. I like my tanks to be literal walls so I would even take a -atk if it meant +def.

I have a +def/-spd and a +spd/-def Lukas. They're basically the same unit. . You don't want -spd despite it being pretty shitty on him. It causes him to get doubled by everything under the sun versus most things under the sun.

-res might be his best bane since even red meta mages will double him to death.

Yes. Her colouring is bad since there are better reds and most greens are bulky enough that she needs help killing them even with Ruby Sword+ (which you need to spend another 20k feathers on getting). The only way she'll be better than Azura is if you make her 4* +10 or give her the equivalent in 5* merges.

Azura has her gem weapon out of the box, has a better colouring than Olivia, and has good enough stats that with her gem weapon she isn't threatened by any reds she may be in range of.

With that attack and those defenses she seems suited for baiting more than anything. Even with TA3 all that does is serve to strengthen her use as red bait. Offensively she looks like a lost cause, but with the right SI you could use her as a defensive debuffer.

He can one shot max merged ninos.
Reds mages go down just as easy.
Linde cannot one shot him and his follow up attack on my turn will kill her.

I just went and tried out Awakening again for the first time in years- hell, probably since the 6 months around release. And I'm genuinely surprised by how much the tone of it feels right to me- the intro video and arrangement of the main theme, some of the callbacks to classic Archanea imagery... Sure, I noticed it the first time around too, but now it feels even more pronounced after how much of a departure in visual style and presentation both Fates and Echoes were.

The first few maps actually aren't excruciatingly terrible, either. Of course, they get worse and worse as I'm going on, and I remember vividly just how bad they'll get by the third act, but at least in the beginning it still feels somewhat more akin to a regular FE game than I remembered it. The only real gripe I have so far is in the god awful class designs and the nightmarishly archaic looking UI.


But it's not the full trashheap that I remember it being- it has its strengths and there's some appeal to it now that I'm looking back on it so far removed from my first impressions. Hell, I think if you took this first 9 missions or so and were to restructure/remake the game moving forward from there, you'd have a hell of a lot of potential for a fantastic FE title.

Awakening's actually solid and despite my gripes with the map design (final act is GOD awful), I think it's a pretty good package overall. Loved it when it came down, fluctuated on my opinion of it, but now I rate it firmly in the middle of all the games in the franchise.

Yeah, this is where I am too. Its biggest flaw is easily in its actual strategy elements, which is probably why I was so hard on it. The idiocy of the plot doesn't help, but it looks like a fucking masterpiece when compared to RD and Fates.

Is Revelations worth playing? Played Birthright and kind of hated it. Corrin is stupid, all the supports felt really unnatural, a lot of the mysteries were left untold by the end, the writing is bad and everything felt way too much childish and some of the battles were truly bad designed.

I could play Revelations with the fan translation but would it be worth? The only thing that makes me want to do this is the fact that I find the female Corring pretty cute and I would want to see her a bit after finishing Birthright with the male one.

Revelation is complete and utter shit. If you hated Birthright for the story, Revelation is every stupid moment dialed up to 11. In fact, it'd almost be worth a playthrough just for the trainwreck of a narrative if it weren't for how tedious the gimmick map design can get.

If you don't care about story at all though, Conquest is worth it at least. Certainly more fun in regards to strategy than Birthright or Revelation, even though Corrin has some full-on brain damage to be able to get through that story.

That is it. otherwise it's fine.

It means the kids are optional and you acquire them at a pace that's convenient for you pairing up your units-wise while the story doesn't need to take a sharp veer through time every time a pair reaches S-rank.

No imposed time-skip so there's a hard-written cutoff point where you HAVE to pair them all up, although Chrom does kinda get hit with this a little.

The only problem was it was so popular that they felt obliged to include it in Fates, and the Babyrealms were by FAR the worst of the various bad ideas in Fates.

Unit balance is terrible. The story is barely above conquest-levels.

Well Awakening is actually my first FE. I since then branched out and now beat all of them, even TRS (still haven't finished RD because reasons, but I want to really badly)

When I first started branching into the other games, I blindly hated and shat on it while praising pre 13 games endlessly because I thought I was cool.

I actually replayed Awakening like 6 or 7 times now, for some reason. I keep revisiting it. Always get burned out near the end, but it's a fine, comfy game. Also Fates is fun yes, even birthrout, rev maybe not that much though

What was fine about Awakening? The UI is ugly, gameplay is inexistent, there is no form of difficulty balance, the story is confused and unfocused with only really first arc being acceptable, the characters in the story don't carry the failing story either, the maps just waste your time and most of the time have no thought placed in them, and the spotpass feature is such a lazy after-thought that it makes me depressed seeing spotpass characters appear with those godawful models.

All the game has is some decent side-characters for your army. But even that doesn't help since there's too many supports, leading to terrible writing in many instances (far outshining the few good supports here and there) not to mention having to write generic dialogue lines instead of actual supports just to encompass everyone. Or worse yet just terrible writing in general because half the time the writers are more interested in writing a joke rather than the characters.
