Money boost is literally the best part since the one of the ways of making ELY is running Magic Book Room, Forgotten Garden, and Ymir Institute with as high of an ELY rate as possible since the trash mobs in there give a ton of ELY. You need a lot of good gear for an ELY gain rate/IDR build to work on Treasure Hunter though since in order to max out the "gain" skills you need to sacrifice passive skills that would boost your damage. Having all the rates in the world doesn't mean shit if you clear at the speed of a snail and hit like a wet noodle.

The show is really good in some ways. If you're looking for a power fantasy show, where the "main character's a total badass in every possible way, except for his crippling weakness of being too kind", then you've gotta watch the show. Depends on how much you care? I didn't really push higher than 3 on my main til after full gracia and I started filling her offslots. There's not much reason to go higher in ancients outside of easier to acquire Baston card. OV is just set piece appearance. 2 or 3 is enough for a few set pieces per day.

Yeah set apiece appearance become much more common around 3~5. I typically run 5s for the event and I get like 3 set pieces per dungeon if it's a normal or good run. End cards also start giving out set pieces though they're much more random than the bosses. For the current ancients, no. You can run it ten times for a grand total of 50 mats plus the seventy from the challenge. The timelion got shifted to reward cards that are built via how many you run. Typically it takes eight to nine runs at lvl4 to get a lion within the ten runs per dungeon.
Timelion rewards also got shifted into either a mat pot (2~5 mats) or a reward box. Gets you a mat pot and a leg pot which can give you a random quest legendary. Might be easier to get timelion cards when in a party but I usually solo my ancients so I don't know.

Gear treadmill is halidom/ov>Gracia/Ancient>ebins/raid. The gap between ancients and raid is deceptive though. Also halidom/ov is really more about being able to efficiently do Noire, Train, or KHQ.

ov is mostly used for a 6pc buffswap set which you don't use outside of the really hard content
doing ov first is a holdover from the days where you needed chronicle equipment to get chronicle equipment but now you can use anything in ov since all gear has exorcism

your class might not even have anything worthwhile to get from ov
come to think of it knowing your class would help, unless you're asking in general and don't have an actual class in mind yet

jej, here's a bit of a secret. Going from halidom to one of the defacto dmg leg sets requires a month of grinding the same dungeon ten times a day. Consequently you'd get your req and maybe your lib weapon. Leg set to ebin is even longer because rng is factored in unless you regularly buy raids and or buy rift runs

That's still debatable. Halidom armor has set effects, so you don't really immediately one piece with an ancient because it's not worth it. Typically it'd be better wait for a 3pc leg set so you can have two 3pc set effect active. Your ancient set and your halidom. If anything might get replaced quickly, it's your weapon.
