No, god no, absolutely not. Moogle is one of the worst units available, below most 3* bases. Bartz is ten times more usable.
Moogle's only merit whatsoever is having access to all 8 elements. His attacks are weak, his versatility beyond elemental coverage is low, and his equipment selection is as bad as it gets (liquid metal slime excluded, but we don't have him and he's a meme). He is utterly nonviable in any content except, like, taking him along for story quests to accomplish "deal X element damage" quests.

The moogle is great for gilgamesh, he can seal basically whatever elements you want.
Gil isn't about damage, it's about sealing. And mog can rotate through the elements to seal all of them at the same time when you make it past his last threshold. You can have it so only one expires per turn and he's sealing everything but thunder.

If your moogle dies every turn he's not gonna seal much. Fucking Rain would be more viable for elemental sealing, he can hit 4 elements at once (Fire, Earth, Wind, and Light). That just leaves lightning and water which should not be hard to cover.

Earth doesn't need to be sealed, barstonra eliminates that for multiple turns.
Rain seals 3 elements, just like everyone else.
There are many ways to keep the moog from dying, he's not impossibly squishy. Especially when nobody else needs to worry about sealing but him.

Rain also sucks because he WILL suicide at some point in the fight. 5% per turn adds up.

It's very much like RK.
So the switch should be seamless.

You have a party of 3 and a friend unit which you switch with one of your current party members for a few turns(3-4 or something like that).
You pull for weapons just like RK.
There were some events that unlocked characters and allow you to win 2 of the unlocked character's equipment, be it weapon, armor or accessory. But the second copy is quite hard to get.

It's definitely not the dissidia we once knew, but I guess that dissidia is no more considering the arcade and PS4 version...

Anyways, I'm eagerly awaiting for the GL version to be released. I also made this a week or so ago for when it does. I'll probably update it in 2 months or so.

Cecil would be great, especially if you have dualcast. A double tank setup is pretty hard to crack. You could probably also have one of the tanks provoke in the second phase to take Typhon's attacks which almost always KO. Also the two-headed dragon trial is piss easy for what you've got, you could probably go straight up DPS with a couple supports on that one.

How do I make this work. I doubt they will chain together well, so most likely I want to make one the chainer and one the finisher. Fry is probably better suited to finish with Doublehand passive and equipped, but then every 3 or 4 turns I likely want to use her chain to imperil Ice.

On the other hand I could give her an aquablade for chaining and free a materia slot and then chain with her and let Tidus finish with Jecht shot and use his water imperil to benefit both of them.

You have a two frame window or else the chain breaks (Tidus has a 1 frame and Orlandu has a 5 frame window if I recall correctly), her frames are sort of weird because the startup is so quick. I put my Fryevia at the bottom of the front row right next to the friend unit and use my index and middle fingers to tap as quickly as possible between the two. It's basically a plinking motion if you've ever played fighting games.

99% of the time giving Fryevia the aqua blade is a bad idea because it splits her element evenly between water and ice and you want to take full advantage of the ice imperil, but it might actually work if you'e using Tidus to do a water imperil. Not using her sword would be too much of a waste in magic power. It also generally feels like a waste to not use Tidus as a chainer and have him behind hybrid finisher and support.

It will really likely come down to the situation and what elements are weak/strong and if I want to burn something fast or have sustainable mp. Tilith can help with that roll as well though depending on damage so its a bit of a wash.

Tidus could also probably get 100% evasion pretty easily with a few more TMRs.

My thought was use her sword and aquablade and then dualhand Brotherhood on Tidus.

Turn 1 would by Fry chains and ice imperil starts and Tidus could start mana regen, use his chain after or go ahead and finish. Second turn he gets to imperil with his LB most likely and then we are in business.

Fry chains would be something like 50% at (150% ice) and 50% at (175-200% water) assuming both halfs of the elemental attack take their own imperil into account.

It's a pain in the ass to setup, but either way using Tidus you would need to use his LB to get the imperil going. This way he can also use off turns for giving Rikku LB or mana regen or whatever.

On the other hand Fry generally seems much better as a finisher, but she wouldn't get to benefit from imperil unless she does her own separate imperil occasionally.

The two have the potential to work together reasonably well, but compared to having two matching chainers and an actual finisher its messy.

I don't think a doublehand build would work well on Tidus, the 50% attack you gain from from the Doublehand materia is the same as you'd get from Blade Mastery or Large Sword Mastery. Looking at BiS builds for Tidus right now he'd have 890 ATK in a DH build compared to 966 ATK in a DW build with Save the Queen and Large Sword Mastery.
