Having finished Part 2, and can confirm that route-dependent party members who join will remain even in a NG+ where you chose the opposite of Ilias/Alice. So characters that join on Ilias' route remain on Alice's, for example.

Not sure about the Cowtits Fish since they technically suffer from the same problem of huge tits (and, in comparison, they're more, uh, "elegant" and reliable in their attitudes compared to the pirates), but the Tatsunokos should be fine. There seem to be a fair number of encounters that are route-specific.

I'm actually going to restart part 2 with my end of part 1 save (rather than NG+ which does send you to the start of part 1) and do it properly at some point in the future.

Only on Normal difficulty though... the difficulty spike in part 2 vs part 1 is positively insane. Even on only Very Hard or so, the end of part 2 enemies were hitting as hard and had as much health as the LOC superbosses.

Nah, it's skippable. You're specifically warned not to fight the Admiral if you chose the Pirates.

Either way, you can fight the Admiral even if you joined the Navy and you can recruit if you've got Selene.

Might've been exaggerating the damage I was taking a little bit, but still 2k-ish AOEs and 3-5k single target hits, on only around Very Hard. Their health was still a bit higher with the last few bosses on that difficulty.

You need the Remina Keycard, which Ilias steals from a scientist while the White Rabbit was showing you a vision of the past Remina. You also need that keycard to open the door in the Tartarus, which gives a key item that unlocks the Greater Apoptosis race.

Not sure if the keycard was missable, but I'm pretty sure I got it from talking to one of the scientists close to the end of the hallway. If you talked to all the people in the hallway, chances are, you have the keycard. La Croix is located in the area southeast of the Gold Region Tartarus Pit.

eventually it becomes muscle memory though
you can stack sky dance, an offensive song, and a power up like transform together in one turn and have the buffed character deal hilarious amounts of damage. bonus points if the character has a double-proc trait or item and also has something like slime division active so it casts/activates the buffed abilities 4/8 times consecutively

They're ALL offshoots from the 2nd world (1st alternate world), which was created after Ilias died in the Original World. Even the Paradox world is just another offshoot and as far as I am aware does not have a unique importance among the alternate worlds other than possibly being the most intact.

Ilias' death apparently likes to ignore most of temporal causality and, as such, created the first parallel world where Ilias didn't stop Remina's meddling in Holy+Darkness research.

As such, their attempt to conjure up Heinrich by using his sword somehow succeeds... except rather than the sword resulting in Heinrich, the blood on the sword results in Black Alice. And instead of summoning from the past, it summons from the future, ie the end of the original game after she'd eaten Ilias. And this seems to stablize her and allow her to fully become a Chaos Time God entity.

By all indications, Chaos Time God Black Alice will be the final boss of Paradox.

Jesus christ, I've been playing the game for so long and hadn't noticed. Torotoro nerfed the SHIT out of a lot of buffs/abilities. Now a lot of them SET your stats to a level rather than INCREASE them.

Say for example you have 40% critical hit rate and you equip the 20% crit ability.
You won't see any kind of increase because the ability only SETS your base crit rate to 20%.
