Am I reading this incorrectly or are they kind of going for a more control focused and slower game plan for Bloodcraft this expansion?

Spawn won't be useful in kys or Aggro builds, since those don't want to reach turn 8 in the first place, Carabosse is generally a great card for it seems every Blood variant and could definitely fit in a control shell using their cheap removal spells and advantage generators, Emeralda is generally pretty shit but also something you'd want to put in your deck to keep board advantage.Lethal Blade on first glance seems like a decent side-grade to Hungering Horde and a good pseudo board-wipe and potentially be devastating if timed correctly.

Carabosse might be my favorite card revealed so far.

That 1 card/1 damage each turn is fucking great if a game drags on a while and allows you to more easily play for board control over going straight for face damage. Biggest problem I see with the card is that turn 6 is already a pretty important turn for Blood and often decides the match and turn 7 is already reserved for Dealer/Laura bullshit in kys builds.

That deck is also always in vengeance since the game winning cards (airjammer, dark general, balanced drain) require it to not be dead plays. Every meta deck gets played by bandwagoners because people hate losing. People will drop Shadow in a heart beat the second its no longer tier 1. Shadow got almost no support this expansion which is good and I hope it hits the dumpster.

Can somebody explain to me why I get countered in every fucking game I play? Like seriously, if I play sword I only face ramp dragon or midrange shadow, if I play nep shadow, I only face haven or rune with banish cards, if I play dshift I only face aggro decks who go 1st with insane perfect curves. I can't take this shit anymore. I know I'm unluckier than the average person but this shit is getting ridiculus.

DShift has gotten to the point where all the good cards are extremely obvious now. I have 3 Merlins, but chose not to bother with her. I'll probably replace Mutagenic Bolt with one though as Mutagenic hasn't been too useful due to the cost. Cache is something you'd only ever want to use on DShift so I scrapped one.

Watching that 1 T4 DShift video, I came to the conclusion that the more cards you can get to 0 cost the better. I went into this deck with the resolution that I'd end up bricking. However due to the way it all works, it turns out that is far less of a liability now. As shown by the webm I posted and that T4 DShift video, you just need a few cantrips and the whole thing starts snowballing. Then again I was fighting a slow Dragon player who only played Mammoth, Fervor, Sybil, and Roar.

People will always complain about tier 1. The difference in ToG is that, especially pre-nerf, the tier 1 decks were the most oppressive things this game has ever seen. Even then, post-nerf Midrange Shadow is still around the same as pre-nerf RoB Roach and full power PtP in terms of power relative to the other decks in the game at each deck's prime, but it's braindead, unlike Roach and PtP.

Fire Chain's an awful choice. While it's capable of some extreme board clears, the amount of spellboosting required is at the point where you could've won already with other cards. The 4 cost is also way too restrictive. It has potential in a deck that fights for board, but DShit is not a deck that does that. The only thing it would be more useful for than Embrace is for clearing a shitton of wards or untargetable ones. However Mutagenic is arguably better for that purpose as it requires no spellboosting and deals face damage against what is probably a control oriented deck. Being able to get Fiery Embrace to 0 is way more useful for all the spellboosting you have to do as well.

I just opened my third Belph on my throwaway account. In total I have all the golds, Belphs and one dealer.
I could probably reach masters quicker with that account than my main which I only play Dirt Rune, Neph Shadow and Control Sword

Ok so I'm pretty confident with doing this now. So I'm going to do a simulated tournament between 8 decks, 4 from the current meta and 4 playtested ones with the WoD cards. Those decks will be:

Alright, guys, I've been mulling over this all day, and it's super easy to get this fuck to go off by the time your first evo turn rolls around, regardless of first or second. But after that point I'm not entirely sure what else should actually go into the deck to finish the job. Seems to me like neither Shift nor Oz can feasibly assist, and Blade Mages going face, even with buffs from Enchanted Sword, doesn't seem like it would be enough in the face of any deck with heals.

I'm going to try running him in a dirt golem deck to assert early pressure. And you won't have trouble getting it off past turn 5 with ancient alchemist and golem assualt. I don't know about it it in dshift. It might be good for a slower pace dshift that has board presence so it doesn't fold to every aggro deck. You might even be able to play it on aggro before the evo turn and just hit face next turn.
