German BB: Better at close-in fights because of great secondaries and turtleback.

IJN: Fantastic accuracy at long range but somewhat fragile at closer range. Turret traverse can be an issue if you try to go closer.

USN: Decent to fantastic (T9 and T10) accuracy, comfy AP shells that doesn't shatter as much as the other 2 and fantastic AA in their tier. They play as a Jack of All Trades, they can brawl when needed because of their fast turret traverse and they can also provide long range fire support but not as well as the KM and IJN do.

American line is shit until tier 8. People are making a big deal over the lowered citadel at high tiers, but it's hardly made a difference to the global stats.
Japanese line is pretty great until the Izumo, which is like the larval stage of the Yamato, one of the strongest ships in the game.
The caveat with the last 2 lines is that their tier 3s and 4s are unplayably bad, but the German line is very good throughout. Gneisenau and Bismarck are some of the most fun you can find in this game without paying. The tier 9 and 10 are huge targets that can't afford to fuck around like the lower tiers though.

Hard to say. Dunkerque is unquestionably the worst, due to her deadzone aft. Bayern and Warspite have the overmatch advantage, though their dmg/min is sub-par if you don't let them pen through the bow. Arizona and New Mexico have good end-on fire and manoeuvrability, but suffer against angled targets and eat pens at all angles. Fuso is my choice: her turret arrangement requires some work to get the most out of, but she has the best dmg/min and better armour than most give her credit for.

Yeah, they were learnign by trial and error.

In reality, if a fleet got hit by an underwater nuke from a nuclear torpedo the ship that got hit would be toast, smaller ships might get flooded by the base surge and everybody who was outside and got hit by the water from the base surge around the water column would die from radioation sickness, but everyone inside other ships would survive.

Why can't Wargaming do a steady flow of content?
The nation/class weekends are a bit boring now, repetitive and largely meaningless.
Events like Graf Spee and Bismarck only come around every season.
Scenarios are fun but once you get 5 Stars there's little reason to go back and the cost of defeat is too high. Plus without a full group you're stuck with the weekly scenarios and those are about to start repeating soon.

Wargamimg fucked the dog this month which should have been a big thing with summer and everything but instead we get nothing. Meanwhile Gaijn is rolling out their ships and in my opinion they might not be as good as WoWS at least it's something.
