It's more for a blood mage/Hemomancy type character really, I think. I went with it over BV because BV is heavy on your load order (it's perfectly safe, but it's like your one big mod for your load order, y'know) and I'd already played through BV on another character. For each "leader" in-game you drink from (Ulfric, Elenwen, Astrid etc), you rank up towards new abilities (such as sneak feeding, being more sneaky under the moon, being able to regain HP in the sun etc) and you do this through a questline that runs once and ends when you drink enough people. It adds another questline that allows you to learn the real good stuff, Hemomancy - these are cool blood spells that inflict damage-over-time, cause enemies to explode into blood after a certain amount of time, crucifies dead bodies in a sigil that hangs in the air until an enemy runs into it etc. These are gained by a new ability called draining (you outright drink an NPC to death) and you gotta eat a certain amount of people to gain access to them.

It also completely overhauls the VL tree with loads of neat stuff, crucially it combines your draining/drinking counter with the VL. This means you can gain VL perks by playing normally and using your Hemomancy, so no more flying around Whiterun eating rabbits for easy perk points. You can even use the custom vamp lord replacer on LL to make your VL look exactly like your character, so it all merges nicely together. There's other cool things in the mod as well, but it's probably easier to just look on the Nexus page.

Does anyone use an UNP clothing/armor replacer with a focus on practical armors? i'm not interested in slutwear and I'm trying to find something that covered the base game and dlcs.

I would stick with vanilla/practical armors, but I'm so tired of seeing nip slips on NPCs.

I've never used RM but I liked ECE.

Most of the characters I've adored were made with vanilla sliders though so I don't think it really matters, you just have to get lucky, spend a lot of time on it, and have an eye for aesthetics.

It's a system that encourages modders to get good and help Bethesda make DLC on a professional level. You might be right, but killing their mod community will kill a large majority of their PC market. Which is their most lucrative market if I'm not mistaken.

is there some required setting or mod to make old Skyrim with an ENB run well on modern systems?

Fallout 4 and Special Edition are both 64-bit engines which can use more vram on Windows 10 machines than 32-bit does. This is a microsoft issue with DX9 and Windows 10. Windows 7 could use significantly more.

Yes. Adjusting the flag and threshold levels in nifskope can achieve different results. Much like messing with the threshold in GIMP or PS, you can get it to work with DOF, but it will probably completely lack transparency except for the very edges of the texture.

Compare the cloth's alpha flag and threshold to say, a hair mesh, or the fur on Ancient Nord. Each has their own numbers that achieve a different look.

The biggest problem I can see is if CC allows people to use whatever 'official' method for expanding what can be added via a mod, everyone will manpile on that. The amount of mods which require SKSE would drop, and eventually the team would give up and say "Our skills are no longer needed".

Which would only force even more people to use CC since SKSE would be no more, and that would just perpetuate the paid mods more and more. Zenimax gets more money, users get fucked more and more.

Not sure. Some things perhaps, HDT and the like; but other things like when beth introduces new weapon animations (The only example I can think of is Crossbows but there may be others) I don't think anyone's had any luck reversing those to introduce, say, a spear mod or anything like that.

I dunno. I can't say for sure that CC will be terrible, but I worry it will be. I worry that either modders will be overpaid (And thus reduce the incentive to release free mods) specifically to try to kill off as much of the free mod market as they can. I worry that they'll actively try to block support for things like SKSE in whatever way they can to prevent people from making expansive mods with it.

Maybe my worries are completely baseless, but given Zenimax's history of being a greedy corporation out to fuck their customers in every way they can, I don't feel like they are.

This, I would rather just donate to modders than be forced to have to pay for simple shit like SKSE. I can imagine having to constantly shill money out because a mod you want requires another mod to work, which also costs money. Since things like major patches are what get the most downloads, it's what a lot of people will focus on. There's still so many problems. There was a conversation a few days back about how this will affect cathedral modding and pooling available resources, about whether this mean sthat all the big-name modders will start developing for CC exclusively, and a whole other mess of topics that are incredibly bad for the modding community if they pan out.

This is a weird as fuck question, but is there any NPC type in the game that
1) Chooses to fight when a fight breaks out
2) Is generic
3) Is not aggressive towards normal people (like bandits) but is aggressive towards you

The replacer version is a pain in the ass. You would need to rebuild facegen data for all the npcs.
But you can use the standalone version if you only care about how your character looks.

Vampire with citrus head can also be buggy. If you encounter issues you can disable facial changes as vampire through your method of choice.

Symmetrical sculpting doesn't always work properly so you might need to work on the same area on both sides of the face.

They're what I've been trying, but their tendency to attack townsfolk has been causing me problems.
What I'm attempting to do is find some generic NPC, make them my follower with EFF, and train them to be the biggest, baddest motherfucker in Skyrim as my sidekick. Unfortunately, if I ever dismiss them as my follower for any amount of time, they'll go after anyone around them or unfortunate enough to be on their path back to their residence.

I'm trying to get started but being a generic nothing is pretty rough. How do I get started pickpocketing and who came up with the 95% max chance to succeed? It just wants me to quicksave before I pickpocket I guess.

Alchemy, Enchanting, and Smithing stuff is all about convenience. Having a secure location you can store everything and having the tools to use what you're storing nearby.

Dummies, racks, and cases are all about the fact that since 'living' in Skyrim requires an incredibly minimal amount of income, the focus becomes more on collections. Armor, weapons, artifacts, books... it's all about having everything you can get your hands on.

Other times I think back on what I've done, and try to do something different. I have a strong tendancy to play fighters, so when I'm bored with my fighter I pick mage or thief to switch it up a bit.
