She likes the action of the brotherhood but not the rules, she likes the underdog aspect of the railroad but not the dying for toasters aspect, and she generally disapproves of the Institute and even asked me if I'm joining them in a not nice tone the first time I went.

So I went with the Minutemen, because she likes the personal freedoms they stand for.

She approves of personal freedom dialogue and actions, and disapproves of subjugation dialogue and actions, so she does believe synths should be free, but wouldn't actually risk herself to do so. Mainly because she wouldn't risk herself for anyone.

She has an exceptionally tragic past, and one that colors her worldview and impressions of people still today. It affects our relationship and her relationships with everyone. But I don't mind, because I have limitless patience for her.

She is not outwardly religious, but she does sit and pray in the church if idle for long enough, so whether it's a habit or a long short or just a real communing with a god we don't know. She certainly hasn't brought it up or shared voluntarily.

She has lots of minor injuries, but nothing I can't handle with high Int and medic training.

She does not have accumulated trivia, and is bad at reading, but she is wise.

She is very brave, strong willed, and quick to act. All things I admire.

She is very harsh, which is hard for me since I'm a moralfag bleeding heart, but we make things work.

How do I have fun in survival mode?

The need for eating, drinking and sleeping made the game more interesting, but the combat is fucked up.

I just started and I easily get killed by 2 bullets, but the enemies are still bullet sponges (takes 3-5 shots to kill and those are only the early levels enemies.
I had to cheese every encounter by using sneak attacks and that eventually gets very tedious. Can't imagine how it would be later in the game where you have to fight more than 3 enemies at the same time.

I didn't realize how much I desired this until now. Ingram would be great to travel with, but now I can't help but think of travelling through the Commonwealth with a red-robed scribe, doing deep reconnaissance and research for the Brotherhood.

The most interesting theory is that Bethesda was utilizing drugs in Caits story to also symbolize her fight internally at least with her own lesbian sexuality. It would make sense, mainly because repressive 'therapy' (which in game is represented by the chair treatment) is widely used.

Yep. I tried playing the game without an ENB, but the lighting looked like barf; I forgot how terrible Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas looked without any extensive lighting mods or fancy shaders. I did get 60+fps though, even with NMC+Poco Bueno+Textures Over Time+Vurt's Flora Overhaul, so it's mostly just the ENB preset that's slowing me down.

I also like to play with V-Sync disabled in most games, so the sub-60fps actually helps with not breaking the game's physics while maintaining relatively little input lag that would otherwise be present with V-Sync enabled. Overall, the game looks much better with an ENB preset installed, and I think I'd rather play with than without, even if it's slower. I might try a fancy lighting mod next, though, just to see what it's like. I'll have to see if it's compatible with TTW however.

I love Fallout 4 despite what people say. The problem I feel with it especially besides the obvious lack rpg elements is that it feels like it's been toned down. Yea there's still plenty of violence but everything feels so kid friendly in a way. Almost all mention of rape and slavery has been taken out. Now I'm not saying they should hit you over the head with it but at least imply that there are lots of fucked up things going on. I'd much rather be creeped out by enemies than laugh at their stupid lines. Everything just feels too happy and goofy even though things should feel bleak and hopeless.

I was mostly able to let Fallout NVs gunplay and general shortcomings pass just for the story but I think if I try to play FO4 I'll just be disappointed.

Until you reach Vegas, and House explain everything, you have no idea the other packages were decoys, you only know that yours was one of several normal objects sent out.


The fact another one of the ocuriors can be found dead would also suggest the others were targeted as well, meaning you have no reason to believe your attack was special unless you use 4th wall breaking knowedlge that you are in a game to just if your actions.

Given that none of this can be brought up i nthe game itself, it doesn't matter. It's all make belive, and not actual role play, which requires the game to actually respond to the role you are playing.
