There are two versions of MvC Infinite on Steam, standard and deluxe, standard is $60 and deluxe is $90 both are as of now classified as pre-order obviously and both are also classified as "packs" according to the Steam database, Ryu and Thor costumes are $60 because they're both part of the standard pre-order "pack" which is $60, the deluxe for some reason is standard + deluxe stuff which means deluxe would be $60 + whatever price the deluxe stuff is, the problem is that stuff isn't priced yet, just the whole thing which is why it doesn't have a price

Anyone tekken 7 PC US?

I'm kinda new to fighting games but there's something that irks me. When people complain about SFV they often say that there are less defensive options than on other gams in the series, but from what I know every game has blocks, backdashes, anti-air moves and jumps to defend against stuff. The only thing that's missing in SFV are focus attacks and universal parried, but depending on which character you play you get extra stuff like parries, armor or teleports. So why do people say that? Is there something I'm missing? Again, sorry ifit's obvious, I haven't been here very long.

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK/Injustice have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.

The game is very focused on tick throw strategies which is very hard to avoid. V-reversals are underwhelming, basic reversals often require meter, backdashes are non-invincible and you can even get CC'd, making the 50/50 even more scary, and a lot of normals/anti-air normals are stubby. This is only my scrubby super silver opinion (dropped the game when Urien arrived) and I never liked SF that much anyway (started FGs with KoF) but god damn SFV is just unfun.

it's the fact that the defensive options are weaker and carry more risk than the offense in comparison. in SFV, much of the game comes down to a guessing game where one wrong guess ends rounds and oki (set ups after they've knocked you down) is very oppressive so you end up having to guess as opposed to getting out or being reset to neutral. The defensive options are generally unrewarding and the risk/reward is heavily skewed like, you try to DP and it hits, you do 130-160 damage or so but if it's blocked you might be eating 500+ damage. Same with anti-airs (and they got universally nerfed in season 2, along with v-reversals which were the only defensive option for a lot of people), you land a light anti air, you get 20-30 damage and MAYBE a reset in the best of situations but if you do it incorrectly, that jump in combo will do 500+ damage.

TL;DR, it's not the lack of options, it's that they're very weak compared to the offensive tempo, damage and stun of most characters that results in guessing games and stolen rounds

In sf4 backdashes had invincibility, also in some fighting games / SF's there's a technique called "crouch tech" where you can tech throws with still holding down-back.

I don't play SFV but from what I understand lots of buttons are natural frametraps because how plus they are and you can really bully an opponent, especilly in the corner. Because of crush counters your throw tech attempt can get punished very heavily by a walk back and heavy button, in SFV those lead to 50% damage or so, and almost 50% stun. I don't know how impactful it is but SFV heavy buttons put "white life" on the opponent that increases the damage on their next hit unless you recover it

Also like before the anti-airs were mentioned as not being the best, combined with the input lag it's kind of hard to keep someone in check I guess

Yeah, v-reversals seem pretty weak since people can just grab you out of one and you lose v-gauge for nothing and punishing backdashes like that seems too harsh.
