No, it honestly would have been better if Fatz didn't make this. I get the sentiment, I get the idea, but even the wording of it is just horrendous.

"But if you feel like you may do something drastic, go seek help" Frisk does precisely this and dunks their soul to Asriel without asking anyone or talking to them about it. And because Fatz decided to almost universally skip the parts where characters feel bad about Frisk being gone in a sense, it really just looks tacky at very best.

It's like if you got Dr. Claw to speak about human kindness and honest business, you may get a giggle and the things he says may be technically correct, but literally everything about it would be wrong on a number of levels.

And this doesn't take into account that the game implies it was only with the power of seven souls that he became Asriel, seeing as he's Omega Flowey with just six, which makes the problem seven times harder.

Assuming he only needs a single soul, there are a number of ways used to explain his rescue, but they're not necessarily canon compliant. The Boss Monster mechanic of passing soul power to their children, Chara being the one to give up their soul, or one of the six children doing it, the Floweypot route of getting him to develop a soul naturally, he conjures up the determination to stay as a goat, stuff like that.

I've been thinking about a story, which I have talked about here before. Gaster pulling himself back together causing anomalies in the space time continuum, Sans explains some stuff and shows the broken machine, Frisk's determination creates a save point inside the machine which causes it to pull everyone in and they end up in the Soulless Pacifist timeline, where Chara "ERASES" the world and everyone is plunged into an Abyss. From there, they end up in Gaster's world, or something. Flowey overcame that hurdle with seven souls, so it's not impossible to think that it's a lot less energy to maintain the form. Or you could assume the other half of the pumpkin problem, that if it remembers a time it wasn't a pumpkin, it's easier to nudge it back to that form.

Exactly, which is why I find it odd when fans of the character toss stones at each other for being edgelords. That's part of the appeal of the character, whether its a ghost full of aimless hatred or a mentally ill child.

I actually finished UT and read DR long after all of the hype, so I'm curious as to how the original played out in its entirety.

Bits of the fight still remain on Fatz' blog, but it's heavily disjoined, with few scenes leading directly to the next.

Exactly. Omega Flowey is a byproduct of what would happen if neither Human nor Monster had a ton of determination loaded onto them.

Even one soul could morph Flowey into something a bit more out there.
