quick search gives you random items, depends on the area you choose, either trade-in stones (meh), maybe an old 13*, or more lucratively gathering items (might get something to clear those 100k COs from the butler guy)

collect search will randomly fill gauges on a collection file you have as long as it isn't already 100% or expired

They're daily things you do, one is to gather from a certain area and the collection search gives a bump in your % for an objective in a CF of your choosing (you cannot receive a weapon at 100% from ES, you have to get it to drop in game). Additional rolls come at a price of AC, which is a waste so don't do it. If you want something like Zephyros kills for Zein weapons; you'll want all the other objectives at 100% or done so you'll get the % on what you want.

The reset at 12AM JST and is really quick to do. If you're doing daily log ins for EXP tickets; you might as well do these as well.

You can change class for free whenever you want. Be sure to look up a Mag guide. I'll also recommend you don't do Br/Gu since it's only good for organised runs and even then; they plan on nerfing GU sub since the only use it has is Chain trigger.

Br/Hu, Ra/Hu or Gu/Hu would be a better option since Hu is subbed by a lot of classes since you can get a bunch of damage from it and survivability. Try out each class and get a feel for their weapons. You have 3 character slots with unlimited use so you can delete a screw up if you're early into the game. If you plan on using ranged weapons, you'll want an R-ATK mag.

Just don't forget this very important detail: Always do your research.

Every weapon has their strengths and weaknesses. TMG relies on being close to your target since it's short ranged, Rifle prefers to be at a longer distance and launcher is very good for mobbing. There are items called skill rings that completely change how a weapon is in the game. An example would be the launcher ring since it allows you to do more damage to mobs without having to hit their weakpoint (which really pushed its usability up). TMG can get a forward s-roll (think of a dodge that you can use in mid air) which is a must for them. Rifle has a ring that allows you to WB a weakpoint regardless of anything in front of it (as long as you're locked onto the thing you want to weakbullet).

EP5 is late next month and they're introducing a bunch of buffs for TMG and rifle (some skills, mostly PAs that don't get used as much).

1/3 to 1/4 as many compounds as they get now and reduced range which made them TD gods means there's no reason to play Force any more unless they can hit things other classes can't like Deus Esca chest when he's standing. Not being able to compound often means they have nothing to fill dead time when PPC is on cooldown either. Forces are going to spend most of their time with an empty PP bar and using orbit/queen viera to regen so they can continue spamming ragrants which is now 90% of the class.

I don't play Summoner but I can say it's pretty strong. The current meta for Su is Su/Gu, abusing chain trigger and a pet called Maron (a pet that absorbs damage and once it has enough; the player throws it for a damage nuke. The pet will then be on a cooldown but this is avoided by multiple Marons) but like I said earlier; it's getting nerfed (it's also the reason why Sega added a damage cap for the most recent raid EQ and plans to for future content).

I've heard Su/Fi is pretty strong, seen players do Te/Su but there's going to be big changes for Te for EP5 so I can't really comment on how the future for that will be. Su/Br is also thing that does pretty okay. Right now is a good time to play SU since there's an NPC that shows up every now and then that allows exchanging for some good SU items (parfaits). They're pretty easy to get since the quest you farm the item to exchange them for also gives good EXP at the moment (this will change after this maintenance to another version, the current one will be back with all other 3 versions after the 4th is done).

There are Su players in this general so I'm sure they can correct me on stuff I'm wrong about.

What's the logic here, do you want the playerbase for unpopular classes/weapons to just be 0? Should we all main Fi/Su/Fo? Take banish away fine, but don't gut a mid tier weapon's dps without giving any buffs in compensation (if you played bow you would know those announced PA buffs will do nothing) as well as nerfing their primary dodge. A bow main is already comfortable with using step to dodge but this is insult to injury.

Considering a playerbase of an overpowered class is still a small fraction of the overall playerbase but manages to piss off everyone else but the more powerful classes, it's logical you will want to risk making the underpowered and further dropping the player numbers rather than overbuffing them and often not even bringing many new players but pissing off everyone else (see Force with compounds and Summoner).

So why is the fix to make them below average? 5 minute force solo PD uses 6-7 compounds, they're going to be below average after the ep5 patch. Bow braver struggles to clear below 7:30 and that's with Br/Gu let alone Br/Ra. Bow struggles to even solo Zephyros let alone Gracia which to my knowledge cannot be done solo with bow unlike half the other weapons in the game. with many of the weapons who can't receiving buffs.

Honestly the core of the problem here isn't even the nerfs. It's that Sega is nerfing the hell out of classes who are one trick ponies and not giving them anything else to do. Force only has ragrants spam now and they gutted Bow's only real tool without giving them anything else to compensate. Why would anyone play bow in ep5 after the banish nerf purely in terms of gameplay? What about bow is going to be fun or interesting enough to put up with being underpowered?

The only ones who can justifiably say the sky is falling are Br and Fo imo. Bow Br might turn out fine since we don't know the power nerf to banish and the SB-0 nerf might not be the end of the world. Fo is pretty self explanatory though. Every class has a draw that makes it fun to play though. Hunter has three distinct weapons (realistically WL and Partizan are niche but I digress) and has a focus on parrying. Katana is all about mobility, counters and Katana Combat shenanigans. Fighter has arguably the most well rounded kit in the game and does lots of things well while also having all or nothing style gameplay in LB. Gunner is one of the more unique classes in the game with chain and a weapon that encourages staying airborne with mobility with a decently well rounded kit that isn't the best but gets the job done. What's the draw of Force? Aside from the fact other classes don't just spam one single PA like Force does in many situations, what does force do to draw people in? It's slow, it's squishy, relies on orbit and queen viera for PP regen outside PPC which it will be doing a lot of in ep5, etc. Is the draw of force that every 2 minutes it can fire a kamehameha or sprout ice wings to do a lot of damage? Force is already one of the least popular classes despite being overpowered, how many people do you think are going to jump ship once it is both nerfed and has gameplay "depth" removed? Techer got fucked too, my heart goes out to Te mains as well.

Outside of Maron, I actually have a pretty high opinion of Summoner. Big, diverse toolkit with a reasonable amount of depth for what it is. You're going to see a lot more pets used in ep5 once Maron is dethroned and at a reasonable power level too. People forget that Summoner is relatively strong even without Maron. What buffs specifically? Some of them are definitely going under the radar, such as the chain usability buffs and Rifle buffs. There's also the fact that we don't know numbers yet so things like banish might still be ok (Volg less so since it got other nerfs besides power). Other things are pretty self explanatory though like the Force and Techer changes. Force deserved nerfs but the other changes don't fix the fact that it's a ragrants spam bot while cooldowns are down now that also lost a lot of TD utility (which was another well deserved nerf, but it's still a lost tool for a class that now has very few). Techer having some more points to play with doesn't excuse the fact that they will do even worse damage with nerfed compounds and their support ability was weakened with Zanverse being normalized. People who play those classes look at other classes receiving tons of buffs that might expand their toolkits and FIGHTER of all classes only receiving buffs so they snap. They took two of the least popular classes by a good margin, weakened them, and took away tools. Regardless of how strong they were balance wise, it's reasonable that people who play these classes are upset.

Relatively low p2w. They are using timed premium account which is now mostly convenience. There is space in blocks for premium only and you get to sell shit in your shop whenever you want. Also more storage.

The free player on the other hand has to roll a bit of widely available currency to get a shop pass that lets him put up things for 3 days, same with my room. Generally getting a shop pass is mostly annoying, not hard. There is also a scratch with various things that's pretty expensive, but you can buy 99% of things from it with ingame money. You can also pay for things like remodeling your character after the initial character creation (changing height etc), but it's largely irrelevant now since Sega gave and still gives people free makeover passes.
