I go him or MF. I always lose lane and can't farm for shit with him, but then I get a couple of items and we start winning every teamfight. If my ult is on cooldown I look for a sidelane I can farm and pretend I don't have a team. MF is similar except I actually win lane. The scaling may be worse but towers fall really fucking fast.

Its basically 120 extra damage on every other attack multiplied up to to like 300 through IE and crits.

If Vayne would smack you for 300 damage with an auto it gets multiplied to like 900 damage instead.

The good side of this is that you can stop recalls with it too (and stop out of combat only effects like mobility boots). One of the reasons why the 1 damage was added to zilean Q was so that he could stop recalls with it if I remember correctly. This was back when zilean bombs were targetted.

the goal is to give boots late game relevancy so people arent so quick to sell them. Also to make Tabi's less of a braindead buy on everyone by boosting power to other choices. Greaves solidfies itself as a go-to buy on AS reliant characters such as Master Yi or Jinx whereas Sorc boots gives an additional boon that holds relevancy even against high MR targets for when the 15 flat pen simply is not cutting it
