Been looking at some stuff to get for Aileen in the future, I'm pretty happy to see Veritas of the Heavens is a 4* base, I figured they'd all be 5 stars. Duke's tmr looks amazing too but >5* base plus another 5* base required to get the most out of it (Fohlen). But speaking of Fohlen's tmr, are there any helms that come out in the future that give more atk than it? Also, does a regular old spear mastery exist in JP?

On a semi-related note, I'm thinking about the future and what team comps will look like. It sounds like people will want to have WoL (tank plus breaks), Tilith/Ayaka/insert healer here, Rikku, Ramza/Roy/buffer and two chainers+finisher. But even if you include the slot for your friend unit, that's six slots and seven people you want on your team. Who gets dropped? Tank? Finisher?

Well, I did it, somehow. Managed to get off three Lightning OSBs, a BSB2, and 2 casts of her cmd1. Expert though, I think I missed mastery by one medal (lost one to actions, two to damage, one to KOs, only had Lightning and Ramza standing at the end). I don't think I can do better than I just did without having a native wall or TGC OSB, so this is where I end this event. At least I mastered the FT, those motes are what matter most to me. Time to check out this Alexandria grinding thing.

Soulcage MP tomorrow. Here's what's going on

He's vulnerable to Holy and Fire, but it's very important that you DO NOT USE FIRE. When this tree is set on fire, it enters a "on fire" mode where it starts blasting out tons of fire damage. and he becomes resistant to fire. If it takes fire damage again it goes into super on fire mode, start absorbing fire and doing an AoE piercing fire attack.

"So don't fring fire, got it, crisis averted" I hear you say, but every eight turns this cheeky shit will set himself on fire! So you need to bring ice and water attacks to put him out.

So now that's out of the way, the only other things to be concerned with are his aoe physical attack that can stun and that it starts out taking 50% extra damage from holy. Proudclad by contrast starts with only 20% extra damage from lightning. So bring some water attacks and prep that Holy damage, this one should be a much smoother affair than Adamanchelid.

Voidmage Apprentice disagrees heartily. You'd be flipping him over when he doesn't want to.

Orlandeau: Almighty. Chains with himself, Awoken 6* Agrias, or Veritas of the Dark. Chains easily and perfectly every time.
Aileen: When she gets her awakening, she'll be the strongest.
Noctis: Versatile as all hell and fits into basically every team. Can restore MP. Can inflict status effects. Can inflict Stop. Alright finisher, high overall stats. Phenomenal equipment selection.
Fryevia: Good chainer.

Disadvantages

Orlandeau: limited solely to the Light element, unless you can get a Veritas of the Dark friend later on. Needs Excalibur.
Aileen: requires her own TMR, and is far inferior to the other choices until her ability awakening. Her chain is unfortunately easy to break. Limited solely to the earth element.
Noctis: not a chainer. A colossal drawback in and of itself.
Fryevia: Just plain not as good as Orlandeau or awoken Aileen. Limited solely to the ice element. Bad equipment selection, tough to equip without her own TMR. Chaining is harder than Orlando's.

Rest of the group would know he was fucking crazy and shouldn't be the leader though. Even if he didn't go full blue screen of death they'd be able to avoid him giving up the Blackl Materia.
