Yes. Not blaming anyone for that, but I wasn't pleased that it was ended 6 days and 14 hours prematurely, that there seems to have been some clear, obvious and outright scumming of the poll, and the discontent with the whole matter from regulars, from the moderation and from myself.

While I understand this proposed method isn't perfect and certainly has it's own flaws, I can't see it being worse off than the other options currently available.

First off, I need to clear this for the record (again). The poll had absolutely nothing to do with my activity. I had returned before the poll started, and I personally wasn't even aware of the poll until someone brought it to my attention (which was pretty much the last day the poll itself was up).
People seem to be under the impression that the poll itself had any long affect on me, VVing or Lewdton at all.
It didn't. Plain and simple.

As far as "not showing any sign to know or try to learn about the things that happened while I wasn't here", that assumes I wasn't actually here. While my in client activity was generally low over that extended period of time, I was still active and kept myself up to date on things going on, and commented when I felt it necessary to comment.
That isn't to say I can recall everything that happened in that period.
I couldn't recall all the events that happened last month without looking back and refreshing my memory, but I was there.

As my own personal situation stabilized (which in large part was the cause for my absence), I was able to visit more often and more frequently.
To that, I have been on server almost every day since the 9th of March, of which there are no more than a handful of days in which I have not been online.
That you didn't see or notice me is more because I have always until very recently kept myself low key.
Being Admin, that's not something that I can do anymore, which is why you've seen a lot more of me of late.

I didn't "ust appear and seize control".
I have been involved in AOV management from day 1.
Well before Lewdton disappeared I volunteered to assist in server maintenance, keeping the server up and running and resetting the server as necessary when it crashed and lewdton was unavailable.
And even when I was off and on during my down time, I still had a hand in a lot of the higher end management of the server.
I further always assisted those that came to me in need of it when they called for it.

And for a server that I don't care about, I spend more hours in a week taking care of the server, updating the server, managing the server, and improving the server that you likely ever will.
Shit, I've even invested money into the server that I apparently don't give two shits about.
Of course, that was probably just a power grab because I want control of AO hurdedur.

You'd have a point, but I'd say it's best for /aov/ as a whole to keep in touch with its roots in anonymity and 4chan culture as that's where the community was formed around initially, and generals are the only way to get away with it consistently; plus it's a good way to catch oldfags coming back, as well as anon players in general. yeah you're right, it doesn't make us look good that's for sure; this thread is much better thankfully.
