It's not necessary to spend several hours in the Hinterlands at first, if you can go Val Royeaux, do it. You're able to recruit more companions and do more missions afterwards.

Don't me an idiot like me and check that the Mage Skill trees cover debuffs as well, not only different type of offensive attacks.

The DLC Tresspasser, set months after the main game, is absolutely necessary to play as it reveals more and sets up the next chain of events.

There are black Solas and bi Solas mods, it's only fair that other characters receive the same treatment.

Speaking of racebending, the idea of black Solas is abhorrent to me. It plays straight into the noble savage trope and reduces him to a banal stereotype. Like a literal wolf-demon companion? I think the White and Black wolf murals were created by the Elves to depict his alliance with the Rebel Elves and the Evanuris, who were in a war with each other. He acted alone like a lone wolf.

The six-eyed wolf symbolizes the pride-wolf that destroyed the lives of all ancient Elves. Maybe Solas was prideful in his youth, he thought he could alone save all the Ancient Elves from themselves, but ended up ruining their lives by creating the Veil. I don't remember the exact quote, but this is one of Cole's mysterious comments in Trespasser if you approach him after the first mission and to this day no one knows what he's talking about. Some people think he's referring to Solas, who was a spirit - perhaps literally a wolven spirit - found by Mythal who "adopted" him and asked him to get a physical form to help her fight the corrupted Evanuris, branding him as a slave before he decided to free himself.

There are many hints about this in the game: the Emerald Knights' companions were wolves who never left their side and a poem about Andraste celebrated her loyal mabari who always fought alongside her. Even the statues of Fen'Harel, both in the main game and in the multiplayer, always seem to guard Mythal's, even that elven Qunari who leaves notes in the Deep Roads in Trespasser points this out.

Even the poems left by the survivors of Arlathan say that the Wolf's victory wasn't really a victory and that they lose everything in the following civil war, when the elves had no idea how/didn't want to lead themselves without their gods ruling over them.

Also, demons didn't exist before the Veil: demons are born when a spirit is corrupted by the trauma and shock of finding itself in the waking world, which feel so different to the modern spirits, or when a spirit is forcefully summoned and forced to be something that it cannot be, like it happened to Solas' friend.

In fact, Solas was never depicted like a demon by the ancient elves, but always like a good-looking, wise, and calm wolf. So he wasn't really a demon, but just a very powerful spirit. Then the Dalish gave him bad connotations and the first "bad" depiction of him that we have is that picture you posted, a self-portrait of himself that he made.

Cole says "He calls himself Pride" and Weekes confirmed that Solas had many other names in the past that we never heard about. We don't know if he gave himself those too or if other people called him in different ways, but it seems ancient elves had this tradition of shedding their names when something big happened (see Abelas, who changed his true name after becoming a Sentinel of Mythal and then changed it again after her death).

I think Andraste was involved with Mythal somehow, but she was not Mythal herself, like Flemeth. The Temple of Sacred Ashes was created after the death of Andraste, it could have been created on an Elven site, like Skyhold.

Anyway speaking about Andraste, her identity and her story with the Maker is really ambiguous to me at this point. I still need to dig a lot of lore to draw any conclusions. Like there is one codex in Inquisition that mentions Andraste at some point went deep underground in search for something, and there she spoke with the Maker.

The codex mentions the "well of souls" is a literal well, and the "emerald waters" is a substance of the Fade, "life begin anew", Lyrium?

If you punch Leliana in the temple of Sacred Ashes, she gets revived through lyrium. Why Andraste has so many connections with Lyrium? I am confused. Maybe replaying Inquisition will clear some of my doubts.

I'm convinced that Andraste was the first human that Mythal possessed, the one that started everything. She needed someone to nudge history with, someone who would put everything in motion, and pretended to be the Maker. It's not the first time Mythal becomes the lover of a heroine, just look at Tyrrda, whose myth is really similar to Andraste's.

And as for that "well", it may refer to a Titan, but how would Andraste get so down into the Deep Roads without encountering any darkspawn? Her journey down there would be recorded somewhere too, but there are no indications that Andraste ever reached a Titan.

I think those verses are talking about a well we already saw, the Well of Sorrows of Mythal. It is literally a well of souls and Mythal might have told her that she (the Maker) would grant her power if she drank from it, but it only bound her further to her and made her Mythal's new vessel. In another verse, in fact, Andraste goes to "pray alone by a pure pond where the voice of the Maker was clearer": it was a "trick" by Maferath to let Tevinter capture her.

This may work both with your theory and the one related to the Well of Sorrows.

Anyway, lyrium is, together with the elves, what basically shaped Thedas: it may be the source of all magic or a powerful enhancer of it and Mythal is deeply connected to it, since she stole it like the rest of the Evanuris, but also decided to seal it away when she realized they had become too dangerous.

Lyrium is what can save Leliana, because the Titans apparently wish her to survive for unknown reasons, and it also gave magical properties to those ashes.

Mythal proved that she doesn't care what happens to her vessels. She lets Solas "kill" her knowing perfectly that Flemeth, a mere human, won't survive, while she will be free to fly away as a wisp again to gain control of another vessel. Also, many scholars imply that Andraste wasn't betrayed, but actually convinced Maferath to sell her to Tevinter because she knew that her death would spur her armies and their faith and change Tevinter forever.

Andraste dying was probably Mythal's plan all along and she also told Havarl what to do. We saw multiple times that she can see into the future and nudge history this way: she tells Maric what is gonna happen to him, predict Loghain's betrayal, knew that Alistair and the Warden would have come to her hut and planned the Dark Ritual with Morrigan, she probably also knew what Solas would do with the Orb, but pretended to be resigned and pay the price to trick him into thinking she's dead.

Anyway, Bioware stated multiple times how they have no intention of confirming whether the Maker is real or not and what He is exactly, so our theories are just gonna remain theories.

Also, Andraste's line basically started the whole "hire only daughters" thing that characterizes Flemeth... which is something she has in common in dragons too. High Dragons are only female and dragons were Mythal's sacred form, the one she was always represented as, although it was considered "the divine form" by the ancient elves in general and it seems only the Evanuris were allowed to shapeshift into them.

To the anon that suggested DA:I during my tests; thank you, im having the right ammount of a blast to have fun while not neglecting my studies.

Player choices can change your companion's approval. The level of approval determines how the companions respond to you or if they can be romanced or not. Their dialogue changes with each approval range.

Josephine is also a romance option. She is not a travel companion, so your choices in quests while you are adventuring outside Haven/Skyhold will not affect her approval. Romance her! She is sweet as the other anon said.

Talking about Andraste being the Old God Baby of Dumat theory- Notice some of the Wardens who fought Dumat were Ciriane Soldiers. Andraste's mother, Brona, was a Ciriane woman too. What if Brona was in the Warden army and performed the ritual with the male Warden who slew Dumat? Andraste was born the same year the Wardens slew Dumat, -203 Ancient.

I've got Wasteland 2: Director's Cut installed. I liked the normal version, backed the kickstarter and everything, but I'm hesitating to start a playthrough for some reason.
