Her fighting style and aesthetic is by far my favorite too. I love those reckless berzerker types tinged with bitterness. 9S fighting is kinda boring and 2B is a bit basic bitch in comparison.

Backstory wise it really feels that only 9S is fleshed out. The 2E thing comes out at the last minute, and the whole background of 2B's feelings on 9S wasn't explored at all, gotta read side stuff to learn about it. Having some condex entries after beating the game would've been nice.

I think what he means is that we only get any insight on the internal dialog or thought processes of 9S, who's much more outspoken than 2B. That's because 2B is really trying to clamp down on her emotions and thoughts, as we find out, but I can see how he would feel that 2B doesn't get as fleshed out as 9S just because we don't get that same self-exposition that we do when 9S gets chatty or angry.

It definitely is, all of the context of why 2B tells 9S to stop being suspicious of the commander, why she tells him (and herself) emotions are prohibited, where those sudden outbursts of emotions come from, and even the frustration she has right after the prologue when 9S uploads her data first, is all there so the player can finally understand it.

In the top of the meat box in the forest can you kill the knight machines by the core? After the cutscene where the pod lasers the yellow core I tried to kill them for a couple minutes while they begged but didn't find anything that worked.

One thing that's interesting is that despite the backstory spanning huge swathes of time (mankind's been dead for millennia, machines killed the aliens centuries ago), the YorHa project and a lot of the relevant plot points are really very recent developments.

Also I'd like to give credit to the devs for the opening credits from Route C. When you saw "Platinum Games" flash on screen you knew shit was really about to go down. Hyped me for real even in a second playthrough.

Dec. 7 11941 is when the Pearl Harbor Descent Operation occurs and A2 goes rogue and 2B is a refinement of A2. Moreover, in the concert, A2 is surprised to see 2B, a unit with the same appearance as her, so clearly they never met on the Bunker, which isn't all that big. The FAQ also mentions that two instances of the same personality aren't usually running at the same time.

9S is activated on Jan. 30, 11942, so there's a maximum of 8 weeks or so in which 2B could have been activated beforehand. Given that 2B was intended to be 9S's minder anyway and the need to revise A2's design into 2B's, they were probably activated at about the same time.
