theres no true quality build like the 40/40 of ds1, but most people here go something like 45/15/50/25/6/7, which means you can use every physical weapon effectively with the right gems, or swap the str and skl around to 25/50 for a few more powerful weapons and less variety, but with easier gems to farm and higher visceral damage

when I fight him I go in for openings two times:

when he does his sweeping half circle attack, RIGHT when the second claw sweeps towards the end of the attack, I dive in to the left (his right), get a hit off on the side of his back legs, and dodge away. if he does his headbutt I can follow up again

when he does his one... two... threefour combo, I dive in to the left between his first claw and second claw, get one hit off, dodge away

always dodge away quickly so you dont get caught by his stampy stamp attack, dont stay under him

when he does his bitey bite just fucking dodge left or right and then dodge inside and hope you avoid it

you can also get some damage off if you bait his charge so that he lands against a wall nearby behind you

you will find that sometimes you can get two hits, or even three hits in.

I can also get hits in on his jump attacks, which is usually when I'm able to wound his left (your right) side.

he also leaves himself wide open in his longer acid spray attack, just sprint in to the right when he does it


the second phase is a matter of hugging him, watching his sword and predicting whether its a slow or quick attack thats coming. you'll learn when he's open. run around behind him on his bullshit raised sword aoe

Ya the 1 handed moveset is a great bully move. I have a full blunt one and it can bully 2-3 watchers in the corner. Its a beast near walls where you can just charge attack over n over vs meduim enemies. Nice how you can hit the walls for shorter recovery too

Cant tell you how many times ive done the charge atack in pvp and got a backstab on someone who tried to dodge behind me, thing is cheese as fuck sometimes ha ha

When I'm invading I prefer when cooperators just all try to kill me instead of 1v1, and if I invade while they're fighting mobs or whatever I'm going to take advantage of that for sure. Chaotic fights involving mobs and multiple players is a lot of fun and it's the way invasions were intended to be. Leave dueling to fight clubs and stuff.

Whats the best tempering arcane? 9.X physical atk up + Add arcane +70? If so how do I run it? I want to try out the parasite but I'm not sure how any weapon but physical ones work.

I don't have PS Plus and I started the game recently. It asked me if I wanted to play online or offline, so I just wanted to see if online would work, and it does, I can see ghosts and notes.
