I find it strange that both Asriel and Chara both come "back to life" at the end of the game. Flowey becomes asriel near the end of pacifist and chara comes back at end of genocide.

They both have their own goals that are centered around you/frisk.

There are a lot of patterns that are persistent across routes and even consistent with the demo/the ruins alone, especially if you squint a little bit.
For example, the final battle always involves a Dreemurr. Toriel for the ruins, Flowey for the first neutral route, Asgore for subsequent neutral routes, Asriel for the True Pacifist route, and Chara for the Genocide route.

I have only watched season 1 but it's basically sans + frisk soul dunking Chara/Gaster/Flowey, and then chara absorbing frisk + amalgamates vs sans and flowey then sans fixes his machine and brings back gaster and then it's max lv chara vs gaster, sans, omega flowey but they lose but Flowey turns into Asriel and still loses against chara but she's his best friend so they reconcile and then gives back all the souls and breaks the barrier plus asriel keeps his body and so it ends except frisk for some reason wants to reset at the end but decides not to because sans would be sad
