DON'T FEED YOUR MAG until you're dead set on a class. When you decide what class you'll main, only feed your mag items that increase the primary attacking stat of your class. In order to prevent the bar from filling on the secondary stat, feed it items that level that stat down, like -mate items or room items.

People sperging out in public is the result of any game having an easily usable dps parse tool. It wasn't just eng players, there were JPs losing it in game and people on 2ch naming/shaming people that they didn't know outside of doing one single mpa with them. Every game either has to make it a bannable offense to shame people (PSO2, FFXIV, TERA) or it becomes the norm for dps meter shit flinging to be a thing among strangers in pubs. It cannot be avoided.

Actually, all I did was post it in the mpa channel of the discord, did a little joke about Zanverse and that's it. Of course, it's going to be hard to believe that the post at the start of the thread wasn't by me because I posted the parse with the "Show own damage highlighted" thing on.

I don't have any reason to actually shit on ship 2 because it's not going to get me anywhere, it's not going to make me get better at the game. I'm only there to take part in mpas for multi-shipping and that's it (or the rare pub for an EXP EQ, like Mothership).

I don't go around shaming everyone about their shit damage. Sure, I'll be a bit rude but only with those that I know can take it as a joke and know I'm joking. I've helped people improve when they've asked about how I did so well.
