Not really you specifically I guess. Back when people were complaining when the cap was first raised this general was going insane about how much of a good thing it was that the cap was high. I assume a lot of it was shitposting but I kind of would rather believe there were genuine people defending the cap rather than that much collective effort being put towards shitposting for the sake of being annoying. I already leveled everything I regularly play so I just adapted too, I still think the new cap is dumb though. I'm not touching the last 3 classes until the cap gets lowered since I never really play them anyway.

Most DS PAs have some use. Customize Deadly Circle to type-0 if you haven't already. Besides that the good PAs are Chaos Riser/Acro Effect/Illusion Rave/Tornado Dance/Rumbling Moon/Deadly Archer. Fi has TAJA so you don't want to do the same PA twice in a row in order to benefit from it. A few notes about the PAs:
-Deadly Circle type-0 has omni-directional auto-guard
-Chaos Riser sucks enemies in at the cost of gear
-Acro Effect is TAJA filler
-Illusion Rave is your best dps outside of Deadly Archer, is very PP efficient
-Deadly Archer is your best DPS but setting it up is hard and it's not PP efficient
-Tornado Dance is a gap closer/re-position tool for TAJA
-Rumbling Moon has loads of guard frames, TAJA filler if you want to go airborne

Alright how do I increase my DPS?

I'm a BoFi 75/75 using an Astra JetBoots+30 (light 20) with the default affixes, and an Aura DB+15 (light 60) with the default affixes.

I have a skill reset pass so suggest whatever as far as skill points.

I'm currently working towards a Shoes Revolucio+35, and a Zeinesis JB+35, (as well as my Aura DB, and an Aura Knuckle for lv80 cap on fighter).

Are any of the 2017 weapons worth it?

Is what I'm lacking just Affixes?

Should I spend points on any of the Fighter stances? I'm currently using Photon Blade Fever and Critical Stance. Are Dual Blades even worth it? Is the meme about melee classes being terrible real? Is it worth it to switch to Katana Braver? I've seen Katanas totally devastate bosses.

--For weapons: Grind them as high as they can go and make sure the element is 60. both of your weapons lose a massive amount of damage by not fulfilling this criteria. Work on getting Zeinesis stuff even if you have to use potential 2, it's much better than what you have now.

I noticed people mentioning Marron hits the damage cap but is boring? Part of why I like bouncer is because it's fun. And the few times i picked up a Katana in challenge mode were pretty fun too.

Yes, welcome to the gear treadmill of pso2. On the bright side, potential 2 Zeinesis is pretty similar in power to astra so not much of a loss. Potential 1 is a 10% affixing bonus, your own personal boost week. Potential 2 increases damage by 12% (same as Astra) and gives your party a minor atk buff/heal. Potential 3 is the good one, 14% damage up and doubles all of your affixes (minus % modifiers like phrase weak.)

Very few affixes actually do that. Since I assume you're new, an example affix you can do on the cheap is Soul/PowerIII or IV/Flict Arma/X. You can do whatever you want for the 4th slot, if you're bouncer you would want more attack so modulator is a good choice for weapons and it probably wouldn't even be bad for units at that low slot. You can go much bigger than this but I'm keeping it cheap. As melee you want Act the Soul or Bayari Soul.

In all seriousness, reddit playerbase is very new/entry level. A lot of people here have been playing for years so if you get someone willing to give you the time of day you'll probably get better info here. Fi sub isn't terrible or anything, but you would also get a lot of utility from Hu sub if you took something like automate halfline. Hu is the sub of choice for half the classes more or less.

Affixes that add percent damage come from weapon factors, which requires a +35 weapon to be used as affix fodder. You didn't mention what units you're wearing, but saiha is extremely easy to obtain and gives 300 hp and 90 s and t atk when you wear both. For affixing units, i'd either use anga soul and vinculum or bayari soul and stigma combined with whatever else you can find cheap fodder for (power3, spirita3, etc.)

It's ~technically~ not a stance but it works like one, you just toggle in on when you enter a quest and it stays on forever. It makes Jet Boots scale off of S-atk instead of T-atk.

There's no real reason to get the 2017 badge rear unit when Shine Blue exists, is there? But what about Shine Red, is that good for any melee build?
