I'd argue that the magisters weren't actually responsible for tainting the Golden City and that the Blight was just heavily concentrated there. Remember that Corypheus says it was "supposed to be golden." Even spirits apparently avoid the place because it's that tainted, so I think the magisters just got hit with Blight instantly and were responsible for bringing it back from the City to the mortal world.

I think it's subjective, I personally just don't like characters who don't have some sort of conflict in their arcs and she's just generally inconsistent as hell.
Liara has lots of content in all games but none of it is super high quality (other than her ME3 sex scene). Her awkward virgin who's also really horny for Shepard phase in ME1 is very cringey, then she becomes interesting in ME2 where she gets a life outside of Shepard but her development gets set back to zero in ME3 where she drops her Shadow Broker job and goes back to being the boring default waifu. In the end, it feels like waifu junk food.

It's post-Trespasser and the main protagonist is an elf, so I'm sure we will see what Solas and his army are doing. The description says this girl is a squire and expert thief who accepts a dangerous job, but she suddenly changes her terms and finds herself in a serious, unexpected situation. Maybe she will infiltrate Solas' army or will learn about it, who knows. There will be interesting cameos, according to Laidlaw.

I doubt it will be the fall of the Veil, because they would have to change the gameplay and the game mechanics too much, but it will be probably something serious related to it.

Liara really suffers from the 2 year gap between games. Her personality difference in ME2 makes sense if you can understand what's happened, but there isn't a good sense of time having passed in the game, and I think a lot of people bitched about her change. So they made her kind of a hybrid of ME1 and ME2 Liara in ME3 as a compromise.

Obviously this is head canon, but I imagine her change being gradual as she's had to deal with Illium's underbelly, and watched Shepard's work go completely ignored. And that she went into the information business as a means of acquiring influence to prepare for the Reapers.

Basically, it would have made a lot more sense if she had been portrayed as having been trying, and failing, to continue Shepard's work.
