The point is to abuse Homonculus. You can teach is Raise, and that fucker will join PvP and use it also in PvE. Also sleep. I know Pyro is the best and all but not in the rebalance.

If Homonculus gains the wizards m.atk, then I'm all for going Pyro again with linker, but if not then this seems fun. Not to mention it feels right since it's a full C3 class with chemist.

My other rebalance build would be Pyro 3, Linker 1. This is to abuse breath as much as possible in rebalance. That or Pyro 1 Linker 3 and go full on Link > Combustion

The only thing it works for is a fully minmaxed PVE dps build. Armor and gems aren't cheap for first time players who can't afford attributes and weapon upgrades. Stat points will get refunded when the big changes come, and damage mainly comes from weapons. New players are more likely to get frustrated and quit after dying constantly instead of reaching ET and putting the int to use.

It would be one thing if you explained that full int is for minmaxing and they knew what they were going into, but you just pretend it's impossible to die and call them retards.

It's only been out a year. RO took 3 to 5 years to really become the gem it did.

Also TOS is not a successor. Just a few of the same developers and style.

Also the game came out too soon and in a mess and in 2017, MMO gamers are so jaded they want an MMO to be perfect on release. Fact is those type of players can never be satisfied and no MMO will be perfect for them.

Couple the fact that this game is Korean made there's a heavy emphasis to 1000 hour grinds to get 1 powerful item.

Add in cash shop items marketable, such as Tokens and you have people who want to skip those 1000 hours.

AKA - Pay To Win.

* Transcendence screams RMT
* Sellable Solmiki / Lolopanther (and the grind required) screams RMT
* Best defense / damage buffs are Cash Shop enchants = pay to win
* RNG enhancement (anvil) that can destroy your item promotes RMT
* DPK farming on maps with 30 mobs screams RMT
* Very restrictive non-Token environment

Couple all of this with the fact that monsters in the high level zones give very little silver (example a level 317 - 370,000 health monster gives 600 silver, while a 160 level 5,000 health mob gives 300 silver) promotes AFK farming / botting, because despite being able to farm low level mobs fast they aren't condensed enough in any map nor spawning fast enough to be able to afford anything.

Which leads to people just making Necromancer AFK farmers to try and cheat the system.

AFTER ALL THAT ADD IN AN RNG PRACTONIUM MATERIAL THAT COMES FROM A CHEST YOU CAN GAMBLE ONCE A DAY FOR A LOW AS FUCK CHANC ETO GET IT AND NEEDING 2X OF THESE MATERIALS FOR WEAPONS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER AND YOU HAVE A HOT POT OF VOMIT THAT ONLY A TRUE AUTIST CAN DEFEND.

Yeah that boss takes 100% Holy and 50% magic and he uses Chapparition cards. Look at top right, he gets 10,000 magic damage. Couple that with obvious maxed attribute.

228% = 22,800 damage (+50% attributes max)
100% Devil bonus = 45,600 damage
50% Shade bonus = 68,400 damage (minus the very small m.def that boss has)

Now times that his Level 10 Heal tiles almost all hitting: 684,000

He's killing it with just heal tiles so I'm guessing the remaining damage is whatever his attribute is.

You can do gems for free if you do/leech Uphill everyday. You'll get 2 lvl2 abrasives per day and you just need a week of Uphill to level a lvl6 gem to lvl 7.

With transcendance though, that's RMT territory or you can make a Necro on another account and AFK farm on Dina or Demon Prison 2F.

It's true you can't get far in the game as DPS.

If you're a Cleric or a Support class you can leech off of the DPS gains.

Agny will be nerfed, so people can no longer leech off of that mechanic.

DPS classes like Archer / Sword need like 400m to be useful.

Wizards need like 250m in the future.

Clerics need 2m, because they leech off of others DPS.

Support Wizards need 0m.

So I'm new and dumb and was looking at a skill build for Archer 3, Wugushi 3, Cannoneer 2, and I'm not sure I understand how it all goes together.

Do you go Archer 2/3 for Kneeling Shot, and then DoT enemies with Wugushi and kneel so the DoTs do more damage?

And when you get Cannoneer how does that fit into it? Proceed as above but get up to use Cannon skills when they're off CD?

Most Wizard DPS builds right now center around Pyromancer, a rank 2 class. The cost to make Fireball for example deal insane damage is very minimal compared to what other true DPS builds need since their powerhouse circles come at Rank 6+.

Clerics, even if DPS, don't have many damage skills. Even the most offensive class and by far the best, PD2, only has 4 damage skills that need to be brought up with attributes (2 major ones at rank 7 and 8) and only PD2's plague needs heavy investment. However for other classes like archer / sword / wizard they have a multitude of spells/skills that need high %, because they can't rely on just a 2 skill rotation for their damage unlike PD2 can because their poisons last forever.

Pure supports have no investment requirements since healing doesn't scale with gear (isn't that fun to know?) and Chrono / Cryo do not need to deal damage at all, just gather mobs. DPS classes have 10 to 15 skills that all need 10m each at minimum to be decent. Then you have those 3 or 5 skills that need 60m investment. Some need 80m.

However post rebalance most Pyro builds will no longer be viable and they have to rely on Elementalist / Featherfoot / Warlock soon, which all need a lot more investment to be viable which will make it's a bit more fair.

However PD2 will still remain the ultimate AoE damage build in ET due to how easy it is to spread poison, but this is one of the only builds that will work in ET as a DPS cleric and one of the only ones that requires heavy investment in gear. With Pyro's nerfed you can no longer faceroll through Solmiki with it.

At what base level do you get class 15 when you're R8? I want to make a mage now to turn him into an alch 3 when we get the resets.

I played Pyro and got to rank 8 long before Agni was a thing. I probably played more Pyro pre Agni than I did after it was added.
