I'm not sure that Soul Break hits trigger Mana Sphere counters (but they probably add to the count on how many hits x number of characters to determine the end effect when they die), but the real thing you want from it is his instant Magic Blink. Besides all of Firion's commands on the Burst attacks are Holy / NE so it shouldn't be a problem.

What are you talking about? There's load of FFVII references in the game. The ending to 1.23b was a homage to VII, Dark Knights victory move is Clouds. Machinists limit break III is Barrets Sattelite beam. There's places in Eorzea called Seventh Heaven and Costa Del Sol and also a NPC who looks like and is named after Jessie is in the game.

VII gets way too much love in XIV. Even the chat log filters are Tifa and Cloud having a conversation.

I personally got the Sakurafubuki, if just because of how everyone who can wield a katana wants a decent one for blade mastery. Genji blade is nice but you can only get it once. Abel's knife is pretty crappy (82 ATK), but it's a source of DW. And if you gun for Tidus/Grace on banner you'll have a bunch of him.
There's also Camille's TM, which is even worse (DW water sword, but only lets you equip other swords). She's on a great banner too (Amelia and Forren).
There's also Lorraine and Jiraiya, and as always Gilgamesh. All base 5*, of course.

JP just got a free DW from the mogking, so if you're willing to wait a while it will come. Plus there's second knife.

Technically you can make Abel's knife work in your favor for certain units, especially in JP.
With the right TMR setup, it actually beats out Genji Glove for BiS on some units, like Gilgamesh and Nyx.

In GL, it will be much much worse. We have no stackable Blade Mastery, so every unit has to equip two different kinds of weapons (Katanas, Swords, Fists, Spears, or Greatswords) for mastery. There is no Dagger Mastery, so even with this setup you lose out on ATK.

Gumi thought they made TMR farming easier by removing stackability, but they actually just made it more constrained. It's harder to BiS a unit in GL by far.

Her enhanced 6* is acceptable.
Autorefresh, Curaja, healing Esunaga, healing counters, entrust + high tide, 100% sleep/silence/para resist, a SPR based attack (only 150% mod though), and of course Raise.

She'd be the best healer in the game if we had access to all that now. Given gumi's eccentric schedule, we might get it before Ayaka/Tilith ruin healers forever.
