No, it's the gimmick when using her in the original Mystery of the Emblem. Since lance user were forced to dismount indoors only Generals could use lances. So people grinded her up to max stats (easy to do in FE3 thanks to shards) and have her use the Gradivus in the final maps which were all indoors and all your other lance users suddenly became sword units.

Gaiden has archers with an extended range that includes an inner range, so they can hit from 1-3, and eventually 1-5 after a few promotions.

Mages use HP for spells, and a new feature of this remake are attaching skills to equipment, many of which use HP.

Casual mode is largely unnecessary because of another new feature they added that allows you to rewind to any prior part of a battle to undo a mistake that got someone killed, or even just sit someone out because that map is going to give them a bad level up, though the charges for that thing don't refresh until you leave a dungeon.

I don't remember what the preorder bonuses were, but the special edition didn't seem fancy enough for me to bother with this time around, Europe's costs more but it comes with Amiibos of the main characters you can use to do a few things with, and I think all the special editions come with a code for the first wave of DLC or something.

So if I understand the IV chart and the stats right, subtracting the weapon attack power of 16, this means my Ryoma is +HP and -SPD. Wait, HP is one of the least important stats, and I'm pretty sure I want him to have high speed. But I am sick of rerolling.

I got her in my last 20 orbs spent on Hero Fest. She's +SPD/-ATK which is okay for what she is intended to do anyway which is to wall reds. And +SPD means that very few setups can even double her, with Eirika buffs almost nonexistant.

Just don't give up with the rerolls. You'll get her eventually. I'll help you out if I can, though I reroll manually.
