I have to be honest, as someone who's primarily a fan of IPs and not console makers, but have owned every Sony console, this is what I've come up with.

Sony seems to use consoles to push technologies, because as long as the adoption rate is high enough they'll profit from other industries they hold as a result. So DVDs, Bluray, higher quality cheap LCDs, OLED, etc.

So I think their consoles are designed first around that and second around meeting market. They do most of their market work in deals with developers/publishers as opposed to the hardware.

I hope they do another handheld because I absolutely loved the PSP and Vita. I have the Yakuza PSP games imported and I still play them regularly as well as Legacy of Kain titles on Vita.

DS games require a flashcart, and you can theoretically use just about any DS flashcart for that, but you may need something like NTR Launcher to get some of the older ones to work.

Install freeshop, it's in the pastebin in the OP. It cuts all the work out for you. It's a better menu'd version of the eshop and you just click something, it downloads and installs.

Make sure to turn on the filters for your language/region unless explicitly looking outside of that for something just to cut down the repeated titles. Has a very good search function too.

Is it worth buying a ps2 slim? I want to be able to play ps2 games without having burn disks. So usb loading would be great. I have tried emulation but I find it's not there yet. Visual artifacts on Atelier iris, sound issue galore, and I have a decent gaming rig.

I'm on 4.40 sysnand and have gateway installed at an emunand of 10.4 I think? I can't confirm this because my gateway red card stopped working randomly and now I can't boot into emunand. So I'm left with a mostly useless 3ds and I would love to install cfw on it.

Is there a guide out there that allows me to remove gateway completely from my 3ds if I don't have the gateway cart? Following the instructions on 3ds.guide just forces a reboot whenever I try to access the old DS profile very early on in the steps. I keep trying to install CTRTransfer off of my old DS flashcart to no success of getting past this step.

I've been trying to play Devil Survivor Overclocked since yesterday and for some reason it always gives me the "an error has ocurred" black screen on boot.
First tried the eShop version, then I downloaded a undub .cia and both give me the same error.

Not on the 3DS, no.
The pusher of squares thinks, each core having its own cia is a better idea than having one convoluted RetroArch cia with the ability to download several cores (just like the regular RA does).

How long until Wii U gets it's own Freeshop that doesn't require you to download the game on your PC?
