I don't know. My shaman losses today were straight up horseshit. I got sent to 0-2 by a mage with five Blizzards and two Firelands Portals among other crazy shit. I think if you get Servants of Kalimos you'll go high wins due to more natural elemental synergy. Hunter is mostly "am I going first or not", "did I curve out well the first few turns" and "has he played more than one board clear". I'd also like to mention that there's a 12-2 paladin run from May 2nd or 3rd it didn't record 'cause Heartharena "crashed" and wouldn't load properly until a new run.

Anyway, in my opinion Hunter > Shaman unless shaman has 2x Servants of Kalimos, but they're still miles behind the other three.

Mid Shaman is very hit and miss, if you're not queueing into hunters and paladins consistently you might get dicked by Fedoras, Freezefags, and Valeera.

Here's an alternative cheap Shaman deck to play, Abar reached rank 1 legend early in the xpac with this and it is still the highest winrate Shaman deck at Legend. Think of the gameplan like a passive token druid, instead of aggressively pushing a small group of minions, you defensively maintain a board until you can dick them with huge burst turns and tempo swings. Draw Bloodlust.

Full Control Jade Shaman with 2 Volcano, Far Sight, Spirit Echo, etc. is also a good choice (along with the jankier Concede Shaman), but the games are long and it takes a while to learn your outs because you are a bit low on threats.

I want a mode for us normal people, devoid of cancer:

Maybe ban a couple cards like the Priest Quest for further balancing and such.

The entire game of Hearthstone is centered around the mechanic of having to play minions, then waiting a turn before you can attack with them, if they survive. Then you have to make a decision between trading or sending their damage to face. This horseshit with aggro and OTKs has completely stopped me from spending money on expansions anymore. I was a paying customer who spent up to $200 per expansion. In Gadgetzan, I only preordered. In Un'Goro, I've spent no cash whatsoever, only used gold and crafted a Quest Warrior deck, since it's the closest thing we have to a normal control deck that doesn't die to cancer. If they'd make a mode like that, I'd start spending again. Surely, I can't be the only one. I don't understand how pandering to aggro netdeckers is generating them more money than it would pandering to us experimenters and control players. Our decks cost more to build.

Kripp is a decent Arena player for a top streamer for sure, but I still don't see the appeal of watching him (other than when I want to fall asleep). Constructed pros/streamers tend to be better than arena pros at min/maxing which is the main "skill" in this game anyway, Chakki is a special example because he's just really fucking good at arena but it's pretty indicative of a trend, he was one game from getting a fucking 9 win average #1 NA in his first month tryharding the format.

It's not even just iceblock. Mage has become so bloated with all their "discover a spell" cards that you can't even play around them anymore. It used to be that you'd expect what sort of spells they were running and adjust, now they'll play a huge amount of cards that aren't in their decklist and that you have no way of knowing they have. I've had tempo mages pull out a fucking Pyroblast for the win and the only way I could have stopped it was if I gave up all my board presence to play a healing minion, something I would never think of doing against tempo normally because they don't run Pyro.

Designing counter-cards rather than addressing the issue that mage gets 2(sometimes near 4) free turns with zero interaction from the opponent is a serious fucking problem in this game. Ungoro adding even more random spells that can be ice-blocks is just exacerbating the problem even more.

They could always introduce the Hypothermia debuff that was in WoW. Make it so that Ice Block can't be played the turn after it was triggered, thus making it more of a last ditch attempt to cling on (which is always what it should have been). That or introduce a mechanic similar to Shattering Throw, where you can break invulnerability.

I'm against the idea of adding secret-countering cards. Hearthstone already has enough bullshit going on where you lose due to extraneous factors, getting anti-secret tech as a draw would lose games that don't feature secrets, unless they make that card bullshit OP to work against everything.

As for the hypothermia mechanic, I suppose that could work, but I don't see blizzard implementing a specific ruling just for one card when they can just take a cleaver to it and call it a day.

Either way Mage is pure cancer right now, more than its ever been because you can't interact with their hand, board or face, while they get to break the rules playing a game no other class gets to, which is to target face bypassing board-state while everyone else plays by the rules.

these are my arena stats. im honestly really happy about them, im suprised i did so well. i quit csgo because too many cheaters and i was rather good in it too

arena IMO is great ONLY and ONLY if ur good at it. if you're sub 4-5~ average its not worth it. i think like 5~? you break even, anything under you lose out. however if you can be 5~+ average wins its great, you get tons of free packs and stuff
