Easy, roll under him when he's getting close to you, and then run along him on his left side, that should position you right in front of his head when he finishes.

Also he always starts with it, so you can just wait in place until he gets to you, roll through the attack right before he turns, and you'll be next to his head as well.

Well you missed out on the boat, most of the good powerstance sets got patched out.
Dual Blacksteel Katans are one of the better ones left since the strong attack will easily do 1200 damage on hit.
Also don't do 40/40, or if you do then for the love of god dont stop at SL120, on top of needing ADP DS2 also has way lower stats for starting characters meaning you need more to get going, there is no advantage to staying underleveled in DS2.

Amazing moveset, lots of stagger/pancakes/flings, flying kicks, hadouken attack. Most fun I've ever had with this game was this build with full looking glass knight.

I feel like the opposite is true because of the second phase. Smoughified Ornstein is way harder for me than Ornsteinfied Smough. But Ornstein's armour is one of my favourites, so I usually go about it like that anyway.

I've played through NG+ on all of DaS, DaS2, BB, and DaS3, but only ever under a strength build. I want to try a different build, but whenever I start a mage pure or dex pure I always end up just using heavy melee (demon's greataxe, zwei, greatsword) and opting for a greatshield and heavy armor.

Is there a way I can effectively do a INT/Faith + STR build with heavy armor? More for PVE than PVP

The letters are misleading, the majority of C/C weapons have better STR scaling than they do DEX scaling, there is a google docs spreadsheet of the actual scaling numbers for all the weapons in the game.
The softcap for DEX and STR is 50, no reason to stop 10 points early, and last but not least depending on what you want to powerstance you will need a hellovalot more than 80 points combined to pull it off. For example a FUGS needs 60/45 to powerstance, a Smelter Hammer needs 99/9 to powerstance.

DS2 has a very good variety in weapons and most of them are good, but the really fun powerstance shenanigans comes into play at really high DEX/STR levels if you want to powerstance stuff then be ready to go way above to softcaps.

Ive only played through ds2 sotfs once using caestus, I'm thinking of giving it another go. Any point in trying to do an agape ring run for my build or is there so few people I might as well power level? I was considering using the greatsword and being at as low of a sm as possible but on the other hand, ive never played any dark souls game over leveled. Opinions?

Whatever engine the souls game use tend to works a specific way for most swings and roll iframes that is similar to the way getting hit and taking damage does.
In a normal scenario your character gets hit by a sword, the hitboxes touch, the damage is registered and you now become immune to that swing from effecting you again as to prevent you from eating 10 times the damage as the the hurtbox from a weapon is registered to be inside your characters hitbox for the entire swing animation. Some attacks ignore this rule which makes them frustrating as fuck to deal with but those are exceptions that NPCs tend to posess
Now add iframes and it goes down like this, Sword swing hits a character model, the sword hurtbox connects with the model hitbox, games tries to register damage and goes "oh he has iframes 0 damage", but now since the game has registered the sword "connecting" with the player, all further collision between the hitboxes until a new swing is started gets ignored, basically what this means is that as soon as your swords hit touches the dodgermans head, the game checks if he has iframes, which he probably still does, the rest of your swing can go fuck itself as far as the engine is concerned because the enemy already "dodged" the attack.

The Holy See is pretty much the Catholic Church at the height of inquisition, a highly suspicious religion in a world where supernatural forces are real but mostly quite subtle, so they regard all sorts of shit with suspicion. The Way of White is a religion with actual magic following an actual god in a way more high fantasy world. And neither are evil.

Onehanded irithyill SS gets the most AR if you hit 40 str before leveling dex, twohanded irithyill SS gets the most AR if you start leveling dex after hitting 28 str. So either way you at least want 28 str before touching dex at all, your call if you want to add more to rev up that borthammer damage. It's a real fucking shame the sword takes 14 whole dex though.

Depends on the level range? I just don't like DSA's moveset, the only advantage axes seem to have over other light weapons is big damage numbers, aside from maybe ganking with the millwood rush for funsies. Also, you're gonna want strength if you want to use things like the millwood greatbow anyway. Though on the contrary, you can get 18/14 for a raw DSA on an SL 9 warrior if that's your game, and things like offhand crossbows/resin don't scale at all.

Run around, usually one of the sentinels will jump at you, you can punish that move.

It's been a while since ive played but a lot of their attacks you can just walk around them when they start an attack, no need to block or dodge.

Some weapons do have a faster attack (like ugs rolling R1) or an attack you can sometimesrollcatch with (ugs rolling R2, greatclub R2). You can also use stomp, bundles, throwing knives and rope firebombs to trip some people up mid-combo. But if they don't fall for dumb bait you're usually shit out of luck..

He had some ideas that caused some problems, but I don't think he ever explicitly wanted to hurt people or do people wrong. He wanted to secure his rule, but I'd say that was more so arrogance than anything else.

He used gifts to keep people in line, which can also be perceived as arrogance. I mean, shit. Even the people he didn't like, he gave his daughter to, he gave them a city too, and he made them kings. It was a self-congratulating sort of thing.

What is some good weapon for pure faith? I'm thinking some raw weapon to buff when things get rough. Or maybe something that does very well with infusions, although I doubt something like that will be any good.

the mace that you start with isn't bad, actually, if you really want to skimp on points. the saint's bident is also top tier atm, but it actually gets worse when you make it raw, just leave it normal if you don't want to infuse it. sunlight straight sword is always a decent choice.

that's just for things that don't require that much investment, obviously there's weapons like Dragonslayer's Axe and Crucifix if you want to invest a little more.
