Basically this, you'll at least get into a guild that does mythic raiding but isn't quite good enough to get Cutting Edge, in which case just raid with them for a tier and apply to a good one afterward. They put in this artificial difficulty in the grind, which isn't new to WoW or MMOs. The thing in Legion is that the demand is super strict but every 2 months they put in a catchup mechanic that totally invalidates the whole thing.

Pal of mine unsubbed 3 months ago. Was afraid to come back because he was "behind", and after doing the broken shore for an hour he pretty much outgeared me since I don't raid or shit and he got lucky with a good legendary. It's kind of funny, but also a weird time to be playing.
