Lily just gets a quest in Luddite Village that grants her a passive ability. It increases her magic damage, while Lucia on the other hand gets two elemental skills to use (Wind and Earth) to use on completion of her quest.

Unlike Lily, Lucia will also probably get two more elemental abilities (Water and Fire related) in Part 2 since her sidequest involves visiting the locations of the Four Spirits.

But either way, neither of them are useful at this point in the game as the Worm Summoner race and Magical Scholar/Alchemist jobs aren't very good to begin with, not to mention they just take too long to level up to become anything useful. So it's largely just personal preference depending on who you choose.

I theorized that Ilias's angels reflected her mental state at the time, Micaela and Lucifina being her more militant yet gentle self. Eden was essentially to repair her ego after losing both her generals, someone who was unflinchingly loyal and nothing else. While I don't think Ilias would outright create monsters, I think those angels would be given free reign to to modify their forms.

Use GIMP, zoom in so you can discern the border and use discrete clicks to select. Kind of like drawing a many-faceted polygon around the shape using the selection tool. This is a bit tedious, but not too bad. One way to check if you've done a good job is to add a black layer which will highlight any white spots.

Technically anyone will do for LoC bosses and regular fights for at least up to floor 100; it's only beyond that will you need a specialised team.

Basically you just need to make sure that your active party have mastered jobs that have strong nukes likes Pope or Sage and have some Superstars and Battlemasters sprinkled in, for their buff dances and physical damage respectively.

Monsters that have access to the Minor Chaos or Sea Dragon race are also pretty good to have. Also make sure everyone in your active party has mastered the Summoner job to the point that they have access to Vicarious Clara, as this broken ability is pretty much mandatory to have against superbosses.

Since she's the only one of the only three Kitsunes currently available in Part 1 that has access to all Taoism skills and very good base stats by default, she's extremely good to have in LoC.

I read there's nail polish somewhere, but I haven't found it.

Managed to open the door once by dying a bunch of times, asking Vinum directly about the key, dying again, and stealing the key after washing her, but I'm not sure how to get the key on a no death playthrough. Seemed like I got zapped by another forcefield after I stepped out the door. Guessing either there's something else I did wrong or it's just because it wasn't a no death escape. Reading the machine translation, it sounded like I could maybe use the rubber gloves, imp/gremlin thing's ashes, and an adhesive (maybe the nail polish?) to make doorknob turning gloves.

Not to mention my job is easier if relevant assets are already available, it's certainly something I would consider. As for compatibility it was initially my intention to release the Cecil upgrade after part 2 released (though a compatibility patch would be released within the week for base Cecil). As such I can personally guarantee that I'll be available to patch in Cecil for part 2. No promises about part 3 though as I don't know what I'll be doing 20 years from now.

That's definitely the best way. They're not the only characters you'll have to choose between either, so playing the game twice isn't bad. That said, you might want to have Promestein in your party as well once you get her, because she's also a good source of exposition.

Not gonna lie writing Illias's dialogue for this event has been great. I really got into fleshing out this mod and the only real part left is the writing.

Anyway since I got the time how bout I tell you guys the current list of things before this can get released.
1). part 2 is released (not really necessary but I want the event to take place in plansect).
2). I need to write out skill dialogue for Cecil's insect abilities
3). Need to include a skill cut-in for insect skills
4). Writing and alot of it (only finished the actual fight and the associated scenes still need to right what leads up to it)
5). a Cecil moth sprite (although I made a workaround for this it would still be good to have the sprite).
6). I need to implement the gifting system for Cecil so all the new H-scenes can be viewed properly.
Anyway based on this list I should be able to finish before part 2 release...WELL before release actually.

Reminder that every passing day brings us closer to demo 2.
