The only thing I remember people agreeing with that part 3 fucked up on was the Granberia-Sara plotline being dropped. Most everything else discussed was subjective like the monster designs and the shift in storytelling due to it being an all-out war. There really is no discernible overall quality drop in part 3 compared to the rest of the trilogy.

I don't want to have to do ANOTHER run because I have a "no LOC" save, then my normal save, and then the normal save getting run through NG+ how many ever times for part 2.

It's pretty easy to just unequip my characters their more broken gear and jobs, and maybe use some less played characters, or use them in more thematic jobs like Alchemist or Doctor.

I'd recommend this to others as well.

So probably Luka, Chrome, Rachnee, and Hild for the main party, geared for status resists mostly.

And keep Promestein and whoever else in the back row to make sure I always see their commentary. Saki is a consideration over Hild so I can Lucky Song on the new jobs as they unlock.

If you have experience with RPG, I recommend Hard. Very Hard if you can afford the time, as you will need some grinding for some bosses, specially the last. If you don't have experience, Normal is a good way to start. I wouldn't recommend Hell or Paradox as they're completely unbalanced and require too much grind to win. What? The cooking classes are some of the most useful in the game. Cooking lets you stack buffs outside of combat, and unrelated to fights, it's useful to have a 3-Star Chef for affection-gain purposes.

Of course, this is viewed in a vacuum as purely based on their stats and skill selection. Most nondps classes have very useful abilities and passives that make them worth maxing anyway, such as Overpowering Fist's counter rate buff, or the resists granted by being a guard. Overall, A player would be better suited to learning how a character is designed to be played with certain jobs in mind.

Luka's trait always allows him to use sword, heroism, and holy skills. Therefore, regardless of what class he actually is he will always benefit from having been a warrior/swordsman/spellsword/priest/holy knight/paladin/pope/Apprentice Hero/Hero. By applying this logic towards your party, your formation will be much stronger than if you decided to max only one class.

I'm just going by the criteria of someone who just wants to make an effective team with minimal effort, it's a lot easier to get mileage in a fight out of a Battlemaster or Superstar than it is a Cook or a Thief. They'd send her in with the army, army would get wiped out, and another Adra would be created but use the information gathered from how the last one died to become stronger.
