I disliked Morgana for a while but his turnaround was actually a real turnaround and he never regressed back to his super annoying habits from earlier which is great, really ended up liking him. Even with the confidants there were none that I really disliked, just some that were better than others.

5 was interesting for me in that I did like all the main cast quite a bit, but none of them really shot into A+ favourite level for me like Kanji in 4 or Aigis in 3. They're all solid B+s though, but I think after a second playthrough Yusuke and Futuba will solidify as my favourites.

1. She knew the thieves personally and immediately liked them. Hell, she fell for Joker at first sight.
2. The Thieves had never been known to kill anyone before.
3. The group seemed as genuinely shocked as she was.
4. She's kind of naive. She can be a little too trusting for her own good.

While those scenes weren't great, if anything Chie came out looking worse in most of them. Yosuke's clingyness and inability to separate himself from your dick is what put me off him.

He's not that bad really, he's just not as good as lot of other characters in the series and suffers from the comparisons.

I'd argue the Castle honestly.
For what is the tutorial dungeon it goes a little too long. Even ignoring the Joker, Ryuji and Anne awakening events, the length of the dungeon possibly surpasses Madarame's, and the amount of pre-planning and money/SP jewing for a one day treasure find is crazy.
If the castle shortly after the statue room, I would honestly wouldn't mind. But it bothers me how long that shit was. That one day could have been used to get me Iwai's final rank for a blind Max Rank run. Fuck you Castle

I'm extremely disappointing by the lack of memorable and good music in Persona 5. Persona 4 had the better soundtrack overall. The final boss theme in P4 and the true final boss themes were amazing. The final boss theme in P5 just was eh. The only music that I remember sounding really great in P5 was Life Will Change, Last Surprise, and Rivers in the Desert.

The anime scenes were done by a different company and the communication seemed poor since they don't always sync up. The unusual metaverse atomsphere is gone in the anime cutscenes for one. Shido's palace is even shown be floating through a clean looking if flooded city, but in the game engine the whole thing has a red tint and the buildings are all destroyed and crumbling.

They probably were just projecting what they thought into the characters. Note how Goro is way more crazier looking and sounding in the scene where he shoots Joker than he is in the scenes before or after it (and in the game engine version for the bad ends)

Honestly, I think Yukiko's Social Link was better defined than some of 5's team member ones.

She started off feeling trapped by her families expectations, which is understandable if not necessarily mature, she got Yu to help her build some confidence so she could make it on her own when she left, then realised that her family was supporting her all along and she was throwing that all away just for the sake of proving she could be independent. So she wised up and recommitted herself to showing them the same support they showed her.

Its not an earth shattering revelation, but theres a clear progression there.

Makotos kind of boils down to "Yeah, I thought that guy was shady and I was right" after initially being about expanding her horizons and learning about how other people sees things, and Anns has the whole "show your strength" thing with Shiho which is fine but then it ends on the flatter note of "I should cut down on the snacks and take this modelling thing seriously".

Yeah, I got that. I think it just suffered from a let down on the storytelling front when you go from the big moments with Shiho to "Gonna model better now!" Rearranging the order and pacing, so she goes through the modelling conclusion earlier and thats what solidifies the resolution she shows Shiho might have been better.

In the next Persona game I hope the Navigator is one of your starting crew. Maybe even have them be the first character you recruit, have a little bit of solo MC fighting (just a little bit though) before you get another person.
