Just finshed Persona 5, I had a blast with it. The only thing that kind of bothers me plotwise is how much the party emphasized with Goro Akechi. Considering he killed futaba's mother, Haru's father, hundreds of innocents directly and indirectly, and gleefully kills joker if he gets the chance I really felt disconnected with the party gushing over Goro when he spills his backstory.

I was actually kind of glad he "died". Though i'm also 99% sure he'll come back in either the remake or arena. He should've been the final boss with him using Yaldabaoth as his persona against your Satanael. considering he was supposed to be the "anti-joker.

Don't get why the game tried to redeem him, kinda ruined it for me.

I think the thing you have to remember is that pity and empathy don't mean liking someone. Goro went through a lot of shit that the cast relates to. He just didn't have friends or support to help him out, and he was manipulated into doing the awful shit by his even bigger shithead father.

Which, again, doesn't excuse any of his actions, but it frames him as a tragic figure and makes Shido an even bigger monster. The cast feel for him, but they're also not about to throw up their hands and go "No hard feelings, want to come see the Cake Knight Rises with us?"

As you say there doesn't appear to be any room for new content. I guess there's a little space in between Valentine's Day and when he leaves town for them to add stuff, but you don't have the cell phone app anymore and the story is basically over.

Atlus had to have thought ahead to the remake when they were developing the game, given their past history. So they have to have something in mind for what they'll add to it.
