It's really pretty good. If you're new there's lots of fun content and I don't know how it survived this long but if it's still hanging on I guess there will still be people playing it. The housing whales aren't going anywhere, that's for sure, and it really is worth playing just for that if you like legos so much. The F2P system is also pretty overly fair.

My biggest problem is that at the endgame the gear gap is so hilariously out of whack between actual gear upgrades and the rune system that a DPS in endgame gear (which everyone has because the endgame has been out for that long) completely trivializes the place. That's true of a lot of MMOs but it's jarring in this one where the dungeons used to push people's shit very easily.

They matter pretty little but there are some good points to all of them.

Settler buffs and summon vending machine are cool. Scientist gets a floating scanbot thing to follow them, and can summon a group member (on a long cooldown). I'd always go Scientist for the scanbot on my engineers because more robots.

Wakfu, newer player - anyone know how to get to the Mollusky/Kraken/Kralaboss dungeon? In either Sufokia or Brakmar. There's no indicator on the map, and the place I've found in Sufokia (has a big octopus entryway) can't even be clicked on.

That's kinda the problem I have. I don't want to party with people who already know the content since I know nothing, but I don't want to sit and read a guide/watch a video about said content. So I just go solo to learn and discover things on my own. Of course, most endgame content could be gated by certain limits, like how many times you can do it or only can be done at certain times. Said content is generally not solo friendly. And most people don't want to waste their time going in blind, essentially because it's a waste of time if they fail. So if I want to just go in blind, it's going to be a solo affair for me just like it always is.

they need to cut the gearing time to two months. changing ov was a good start. afaik the events that pop up give you one or two legendaries if you're lucky and they're not tied to some retarded class promotional event. that still leaves you whittling away at a stupid time-wall for the rest of the set. and that's if you're class is one of the lucky ones that doesn't need epics (cough, ele) to do more than erp.
this is a dungeon grinder with rng progression and time walls. it won't fly unless you make it accommodating to western gamers. some people cry about entitlement and instant gratification but those people determine whether your ship sinks or floats in this market whether you like it or not.

Maybe if and when AI improves to the point where they seem like real people, you could use them for mmo's to fill up a population. Like insted of npc's you'll have real working characters that simulate real players that can also buy and sell things or even farm or go raiding, not because they're scripted to do those things but because they really need items and money too. They would probably need limits though being AI 24/7 and all, they'd be too OP. Like if they too need sleep or rest or days off.

It's like asking for shield royal guards to be a thing.

Reading some shuriken ninja guide from novaRO, the author recommends +% increase ranged attacks and +%ATK gear/cards for the build. He also recommends having high DEX. As far as I know, throwing skills except for Humma Shuriken never misses nor do they get bonus damage from +% increase ranged attacks or +%ATK cards. Did they change it in renewal or is this guide full of shit?

They added new axe skills too. The thing I dislike about Renewal is that instead of adding onto what certain classes were good at, many of them took a completely new direction that I personally dislike. Like if you played Blacksmith and Whitesmith for years and liked the buffing, melee aesthetic you'd hate that your class got turned into a support ranged gundam out of nowhere.

If I could change only one thing about axe mechs I would make power swing more viable, thats it. Everything else about them is fine. They do a ton of damage for free compared to mados who have to consume fucktons of fuel and cannon balls and have to carry a shitload of heavy ass accessories in their inventory making them over 50% weight even with 120 str and enlarge bags.

You know, the fact this keeps happening to MMOs kind of baffles me. Because, judging by the fact EverQuest or even Ultima Online are still up, it can't be expensive to keep these servers up.

So I have no idea why they keep shutting down MMOs even if there's only a few thousand people playing. It can't seem to be that expensive at all.
