Everquest and to an extent earlier FFXI had that feeling, it's hard to exactly pinpoint it. A game that requires close-knit teamwork and feels more like an adventure the whole way instead of being a monotonous grind until the destination. You have memorable moments and the levelling quests are more than just fetchquests.

Well, what endgame content is there?
If it's not a raid day you can:
1. Farm couple of ancients for you ancient daily (if you need to farm ancients you can't raid anyways)
2. Farm grandine for gold or tournament for DI
3. Run hells with DI
4. Oh yea, you can run ov...fucking really?
5. Almost forgot dark elf dungeon! you waste black cubes for a chance to have gruff for a chance of legendary drop for a chance of it not being cheap shit. Takes you 5 minutes.

There is literally nothing to do as lvl 90 character that already farmed gracia set. And even farming those is top autism without events that give free boxes.

What next patches will add? Easier ancient sets...easier lib...luke raid.."infinite difficulty"(aka no one fucking cares about running ancients anyways they just want blance patch). With next patches you can get easy legendaries for your alts and luke raid for your main.

So after patch, here's what you can do on your main (assumin you have ancient set and lib)
1. Grind grandine for gold
2. Grind hells
3. Go and do anton raid 3 times a week
4. No you can't do luke raid. If you can do luke raid you already have full epics and don't need to do step 2.

So basically...farm grandine or level alt. Wow. Content.

I just started in NovaRO, and I'm fucking clueless as to what to do. I'm trying to do the 1st job adv quest, but the guy is having me go after drops from mobs that are levels beyond me. Am I just supposed to chug pots and try not to get 2-shot? Or is there something I'm missing?

Hey, I'm trying to find a new MMO to keep my small group of friends and I occupied for awhile. We all just quit playing WoW, for good I think and other than that we've played Blade & Soul, Tera, SWTOR, GW2, Archage, RIFT, Black Desert, Revelation and I'm sure there are a few others that I can't name right now.

I myself have been playing FFXIV on my own and I've tried getting them into it but I think they're just over paying subscriptions, otherwise they'd join me.

Anyway, I think its a general consensus between us that we don't want to play any more asian themed MMOs. We just want something that we can all play and enjoy together, even if we only end up playing it for a little while. Just something to pass the time until bigger things come out.

keknewal is a pile of steaming shit. I actually used to defend it, but the truth is that it's really, really bad.

Thankfully for mechs there's pile bunkers. I could just get aspersio or converters for element.

The only thing I'm really missing is a robo eye or angel spirit or slotted mid with eoe str 3, expert archer on temp dex boots and another golden scaraba card

Honestly, it is sad but we probably will never be able to recreate that warm feeling of downloading a random MMORPG. The thoughts of all the things you wanted to do and could do kept you in wonder for weeks and months. I don't know if I got old or the world doesn't have to offer anything to me anymore but I don't wanna live like this anymore.

Lineage is the best example of this, it was a total abomination on western servers and totally p2w. maplestory was another, nexon NA has butchered that game so badly that they're having to merge pretty much every non korean server just to pay costs.

Yes.

It has the best combat out of any MMO I've ever played, and likely will ever play considering it's had no competition 7 years later. It feels like it's a polished single player action game and can be played as such if you want.
Over the years they've slowly started easing up their grip to get you to buy cash shop stuff, now you can buy nearly everything on the market with gold. The biggest offender used to be the shitty underwear you were stuck with until you dropped $10 on it, but now you can keep buying temporary coupons with AP, which you get from every single battle. I've leveled up three characters since this was introduced and never once ran into a situation where I was running out of spare AP for underwear.
Customization is pretty good, though if you want to look like a red and black edgelord then you're gonna be spending more money on those dyes.
Everything except endgame is going to be dead as shit. I've never had trouble filling up 8 man raid battles, which is the meat of the game. It'll take you 10 days at most to reach level 90. If playing with others at low levels is important to you, you'll have to wait until a new character's release (which could end up being a year from now).

I'm sure there are MMOs which do every other aspect better, but if you're asking about Vindictus then it's likely you're interested in the combat. It's the only thing I'm interested in and it's kept me entertained for years because I'm playing this and having fun whacking giant monsters with a hammer.
