I have two fortify armors on Hector and Effie. I won with that team and got a perfect streak at 4866.

They are surprisingly tanky against mages (except maybe my +Def - res Hector). Effie took two hits from a merged line that was danced and buffed from an Olivia.

I try to play around no healer most of the time. whenever someone initiates against the weapon triangle on my team they die on that round and my units usually take 0 damage.

Japan knows exactly who the market for Fire Emblem is and they double down on pandering to that demographic, whereas NoA wants it to get to as many people as possible, so they nix things that they think would offend Chads, SJW's and soccer moms.

The minigame itself is weird and doesn't play like pokemon amie anyway. In Pokemon amie you just pet them in a reasonable spot (like their head) at whatever pace you want and it works very quickly, whereas the petting minigame in Fates requires you to repetitively rub in one spot for like 20 seconds so they can spout all their voice lines and you'll "fail" if you don't do it fast enough/move out of the area they want you to pet so you have to do it again. It's not worth worrying about unless you're a massive waifufag like me who just loves hearing her talk.
